Scarred Lands psionics - anyone update them to 3.5?

Looking for general input on Scarred Lands Setting Hey, I am looking for some general input on the Scarred Lands Setting. I had the chance to briefly play a couple sessions in the Setting in an old campaign a couple years ago. I enjoyed it a lot and thought it was a great change from...

    Prestige class and multiclass question...

I suggest picking one Core Class (Wizard or Sorcerer) and stick with it. Then look at a Prestige Class that grants +1 level of existing spell casting class. Meaning that even when you take the PrC, your Caster level will continue to increase with your Class levels.

    Epic Tempest/Fighter analysis

Are you already a TWF? If you didn't develope the fighter with Dodge, Mobility and Spring Attack in mind then I don't think its advantages to do it at higher levels. Dodge really only helps out at lower levels anyway. Once you reach Epic level, you are usuall facing bad guys that are going to...

    D&D 3.x Ambidexterity in 3.5

Whats your bottom line answer? Does ambidexterity become unbalancing for a TWF? If so why? Since WoTC felt it appropriate to put out the Tempest PrC. The Tempest gets Ambidexterity and Improved Ambidextery as class features that reduce TWF penalties to 0? That amounts to at least 5 feats...

    Scout's skirmish ability

Well, For me, I have decided to go with a Rogue/ Ranger multiclass. This way my guy can be the Woodland Scout and the Dungeon Trap Detector and actually be able to disable a trap if need be. The Scout class is a great idea, but I still feel that 5d6 Skirmish damage at 20th level is...

    D&D 3.x Ambidexterity in 3.5

Take 4 levels of Tempest and you have negated the TWF penalties completly. On the other hand by the time you complete all 4 levels plus add the prerequistes, I think you as a PC have earned the right to gain those benefits. Otherwise why would we take feats if they didn't make a difference...

Help w/ my cleric character? Please?

I think it only causes a cure spell to bring you back up above 0 HP. Otherwise if your reduced to -10 HP then you still die and the spell effect doesn't work.

Help w/ my cleric character? Please?

The cleric in one of the games I play in uses a Spell called "Essay Resistance" or something like that. I don't know which book its in, but it is great for reducing a targets SR. It gives the target a major penalty on the save to resist the spell, but if the spell works the targets SR is reduced...

    Scout's skirmish ability

No body said flanking to gain sneak attack was difficult for any decent Rogue. The point in the first place was that "Flanking is a commonly used combat tactic both in the fantasy world and the real world". I don't care if it is easy to accomplish. But back to the original point about the...

    Is this fair?

Sounds like a good and fair plan. Just take a look at the CR for the encounter and see if two assasins would be overdoing it. Typically if there is one person on watch, then the chances of the worst happening depends on who that is (i.e. do they have a decent listen score and Fort save)...

    Scout's skirmish ability

Ramas, I agree that the Scout has some nice abilities. I just think that the skirmish seems about underpowered for my taste at higher levels. From my experience, the party Rogue has quite often doubled as the party scout/ pointman becuase of his stealthy abilities. However; the biggest...

    Scout's skirmish ability

Ummmm, What do you think a Rogue does to gain sneak attack? The Rogue has to USE TACTICS to maneuver into a position to deny the target its dex bonus to AC. I just really think that Skirmish is too limited at higher levels to be effective. Plus remember that the Scout still has a low BAB...

    Scout's skirmish ability

I would suggest removing the 10 ft movement requirement and make it more like the sneak attack with a max of 5d6 at 20th level but he can get sneak attack on a full attack action this way. Besides as you said, the Scout still has the cruddy BAB of the Rogue in the first place, so he is already...

    Scout's skirmish ability

I guess I would just have to use the Wilderness Rogue variant out of UA, then you could get better damage with the sneak attack (10d6 by 20th level) than the skirmish damage (5d6 at 20th Level).

    Scout's skirmish ability

If everyone could walk around the trap, what's the point of the trap?

    Scout's skirmish ability

But you still need Disable Device to be able to bypass the trap anyway! It doesn't seem to make sense to be able to find traps if you can't do anything about them.
