Looking for a 5-10 session low level module

Waterdeep Dragon Heist. Start at 1st level, should take 8-10 sessions to get through. Depends on your group, how long you play per session, etc.

Do you show players monster pictures?

Yes. Works especially well for newer players.

    D&D 5E (2014) Animal Messenger + Beast Sense = Telegraph Stations?

I like it. Sounds like something that would be used in Eberron in the Eldeen Reaches. :)

    Running an actual heist?

Actually, I had planned for my last group's final adventure a heist based on the Donald Westlake/Richard Stark Parker novel, "The Score", set in Eberron wherein the characters have been forced into a life of crime and were engaged to rob an entire copper mining village in northern Aundair...

    Waterdeep: Dragon Heist First Impressions

I thought of the Zhentarim as the more ruthless, physical arm or division of the Black Network. Did I miss on that?

    Waterdeep: Dragon Heist First Impressions

I think of the Zhentarium as more of a combination of the Aurum and the Boromar Clan (or perhaps, the Black Network is the Aurum and the Zhents are the Boromars). Anyway you do it, you can't go wrong. It's all up to what you think works best. I am starting to wonder if perhaps Sharn has all...

Pulling Off a Dragon Heist in Waterdeep: The Review

I like what the review has to say about the overall theme and ambiance of the book being not so much Ocean's 11 or The Italian Job and more like an old western. I was thinking it reminded me more of Treasure of the Sierra Madre.

    Unearthed Arcana Unearthed Arcana Dragonmarks

If it is a marketing ploy, then it failed because the only reason I would have bought the Wayfarers Guide to Eberron is for the Dragonmarks section.

    Waterdeep: Dragon Heist First Impressions

I'll give you a taste of what I am thinking and where I am going with my transposing Waterdeep to Sharn. Zhents = Order of the Emerald Claw, but Boromar Clan could be another option, or they could be in cahoots with each other. Manshoon = wizard necromancer of the Emerald Claw Xanathar -...

    Waterdeep: Dragon Heist First Impressions

I agree. My original plan was to convert this adventure to Eberron using Sharn in place of Waterdeep. The characters and locations are particularly so integrated to the Realms that it is proving to be a far greater challenge than I originally thought. BUT I AM UP TO THE CHALLENGE! :) ;) B-)...

    Waterdeep: Dragon Heist First Impressions

I like the photo. I am interested in Manshoon and Jarlaxle. What levels and character classes due these characters possess in Waterdeep Dragon Heist?

    Eberron books and campaigns

I ran an Eberron campaign for 5-6 years using D&D 3.5 and then some minor changes when Pathfinder came out. It was a homebrew over-arching story but allowed me to use adventures/materials that were published from various sources. It was fun; everyone seemed to enjoy it. In some ways, I wish...

I'd do it for free. I already had plans to convert Dragon Heist to Eberron back when they first announced it.

    Revised Ranger update

I have been reading through some of the posts here and am amazed this conversation still seems highly discussed and debated. And in some cases, highly emotional. In addition to players comparing ranger 5e to older versions they are used to versus new players who have no previous playing bias...

    Yawning Portal For Eberron

You're right in that Sharn is the obvious choice, and probably the best choice. If you really want to break from the obvious, then the next best place I can think of to place the Yawning Portal is in Karrlakton in Karrnath.

Exploring the Wayfinder's Guide to Eberron

I think it's a good start, but having said that, I had already begun my own conversion of Eberron to 5th edition. Given what this Wayfinder's book lacks, I am apprehensive about shelling out $20 for what amounts to less than half of a normal campaign setting book. There is a plethora of old...
