    D&D 5E (2014) "Damage on a miss" poll.

If you have the ability. No one is forcing you to have it.

    D&D 5E (2014) "Damage on a miss" poll.

Fighters Can't Have Nice Things is a tradition to some, I guess.

    D&D 5E (2014) I just don't buy the reasoning behind "damage on a miss".

This rule is bad because Fighters Can't Have Nice Things(TM).

Pathfinder 1E Tactician not a power gamer

You Scored as Power Gamer The Power Gamer wants to make his character bigger, tougher, buffer, and richer. However success is defined in your game, that's what you want. You want the "game" put back into "roleplaying game," and you want the chance to add shiny new abilities to your character...

Fighters vs. Spellcasters (a case for fighters.)

    Anyone reads Darths & Droids?

    Good form and bad PCs

The DM effed up. He should deal with it in a mature way, either by sucking it up or by talking to the player and banning the PC.

Fighters vs. Spellcasters (a case for fighters.)

I sit down to play a game, not listen to the DM's story. That is precisely why (and only why) I don't tolerate DMs telling me what my PC can or can't (try to) do, not because I'm "entitled". If I liked this type of game I would play a video game or read a book.

Fighters vs. Spellcasters (a case for fighters.)

A PC has better stats and equipment than an equal level NPC. On higher levels a PC has so much wealth that he could possibly buy a kingdom (but it's smarter to buy magic items). You guys are stating that like it's even relevant. It doesn't matter how popular 4ed is now. What's important is...

Fighters vs. Spellcasters (a case for fighters.)

As long as it is a reasonable assumption, feel free. There's not much rules for marketing vegetables, unless you stretch the business rules from DMG2. Meanwhile there are rules that can be used in my playstyle. I can assess it plenty from your posts. No, I didn't. That's what you imply I mean...

Fighters vs. Spellcasters (a case for fighters.)

That's the thing. It doesn't say what playstyle it supports. It's only common sense to assume that my playstyle is equally supported than your playstyle. So the player fails even when he succeeds. And you wonder why we don't like your DMing style. Already addressed. I don't see any such rule...

Pathfinder 1E Does "Take 20" no longer exist?

Both PRD and d20pfsrd.com have their own search engines.

Pathfinder 1E Which skill for performing an autopsy?

There's no rules for it, as far as I know. The closest you can get is the Heal skill. By RAW you can't retry a Knowledge check, but personally I would allow it, maybe with "take 10" or even "take 20", if the character is skilled enough to perform an autopsy.

Pathfinder 1E Does "Take 20" no longer exist?

http://paizo.com/pathfinderRPG/prd/usingSkills.html#_taking-10-and-taking-20 Why are you searching on goodle instead of in your PF rulebook or the PRD?

Fighters vs. Spellcasters (a case for fighters.)

That doesn't get you any closer to killing it, though. In fact quite the opposite (Get it? Because you fly away from it! I'm so funny... not :().

Fighters vs. Spellcasters (a case for fighters.)

It can be done by a 7th level caster. Killing the Big T, I mean.

Fighters vs. Spellcasters (a case for fighters.)

I'm complaining about just one out of the many elements of the game. I would be more happy if that element wasn't flawed.

Fighters vs. Spellcasters (a case for fighters.)

How do you know if you never played this way?
  18. ImperatorK

Fighters vs. Spellcasters (a case for fighters.)

Seriously. Nothing in D&D says that my playstyle isn't intended. I'm using rules the game gives me. I'm using guidelines the game gives me. Problems arise. Thus it's a flaw of the game, not a problem with the playstyle. I'm happy with 3.P.
