    [3.P] Children of a War Troll Half-Fiend Half-Dragon

I'm not interested in bloodlines. The rest sounds good, but I wouldn't involve genes and phenotypes and such RW stuff when talking about magical creatures in a fantasy world.

    REAL Epic feats and abilities

You know how WotC failed when they made epic rules and many of the epic feats and abilities where actually subpar and not really that, you know, epic? Later they tried to backtrack a little by reprinting epic feats as non-epic in supplements or Dragon magazines, but they still didn't get it...

    [3.P] Children of a War Troll Half-Fiend Half-Dragon

I have a character that is/was a PC in my games and is an NPC in my other games. He's a War Troll Half-Pleasure Devil from a troll mother and devil father. The Half-Dragon template was a reward from a quest. He attained it through a ritual, but for all mechanical and fluff purposes he's a real...

    Natural Bond question

Depends. In my games I allow taking epic feats pre-epic (of course the better feats are houseruled to have requirements that make them unavailable before higher levels and some of them are simply banned) and nothing bad happened yet. If your game is low-op then epic feats might be too much, but...

    D&D 3.x [3.5] within 5 feet/5 feet away

I interpret "5 ft. away" as beyond the adjacent square. The distance is measured from the edge of the casters square. A square has 5 ft., so if it's "5 ft. away" then it cannot be within the first square. Both spells even say that they obscure vision beyond 5 feet. And I don't believe it means...

    Knight Feat Build

If someone is wrong then I'm going to correct him. I can concede that in some weird way WotC linked weapon size to creature size. But how big or long a weapon is still has no meaning to gaining reach. They did clarify in the Rules Compendium that a smaller reach weapon loses that property, which...

    Knight Feat Build

Eh, whatever. So they used creature sizes for a rough guideline on weapon sizes. So what? It still doesn't have any impact on actual rules. Just as a 4 ft. human (or below 4 ft. gnome) has the exact same reach as a 6 ft. human, so does a 6 ft. greatsword has the same reach as a 12 ft. greatsword...

    Knight Feat Build

That it's intended for a creature of that size category. If a creature uses a weapon not intended for it's size it gains penalties to attack. A Large two-handed weapon without reach is as long if not longer than a Medium weapon with reach. Why doesn't it have reach? By your logic it should have...

    Knight Feat Build

    I didn't say it isn't. I didn't say it doesn't. I don't disagree. Oh. That's good to know. I don't disagree.

    Knight Feat Build

Nope, it does not. The Table you're quoting says "(Creature) Height & Length", not "Weapon Length". Wow. Now there are exceptions. You're not consistent, man. Yes, I know you can't do that. Assume that I'm not an idiot. Assume also that I meant a medium creature does indeed have one of those...

    Knight Feat Build

Size category =/= length. Can you explain to me why does the greatsword not grant me reach? It is a two-handed weapon after all. And what about quarterstaff? Spear? Scythe? All the rest of the two-handers without the reach property? Are you now going to argue that they have (or should have)...

    Knight Feat Build

RAW only states the height of a creature. There are no rules for weapon length. BTW. What happened to not continuing this? I have no desire to continue and I hoped your post would end this.

    Knight Feat Build

I repeat - the length of a weapon has zero impact on the rules. Only RULES have impact on rules. You're using REALISM as a proof of rules contradiction. Also, SRD is almost all rules-only. I looked up the weapons and I don't see mentioned how long they are. Thus their length is IRRELEVANT to rules.

    Knight Feat Build

Well, yes. They are just examples after all. And even if we would treat them as rules, they still don't contradict anything I said. As you yourself noticed they're talking about a "typical" creature. A drider is hardly a typical Large creature (because it has smaller reach).

No, it doubles to 10 feet.
