This past weekend, one of the players in our game played a Swordsage (from Tome of Battle). In one combat round, he activated an immediate action, a swift action, and a standard action. Can this be done "legally", or was he taking advantage of the lack of such rules knowledge by the DM?

I try to get my players to use new, non-core sources, but it's like pulling teeth. I have tons of optional books, and so far they just look good sitting on my shelves.

I use the one from Unearthed Arcana. Easier and faster to hand out the carrots for all the sticks I hit the players with.

My son (who's at his mom's this weekend and has my M&M rulebooks) called to ask me a question I couldn't answer. He's creating a character who is an android. Being such, he has no Constitution bonus. How would his Toughness Save be determined? Thanks in advance!

I was reading a blurb about this book, and this part stuck out to me. "features a new encounter format designed to make running the adventure easier for the Dungeon Master." What does this mean, exactly? Has anyone played this module and experienced this encounter format?

16. We made a whole day of it. The players who had wives or g/fs brought them along, we bbq'd all day, and had a blast. People were having to stand in my living room, or take turns sitting. And when one character figured out they were fighting Sleestak and were in the Land of the Lost...

Back in 1e, we used the Comeliness and Perception abilities. I can't really recall well how we used the Comeliness scores (I believe the rules for them were in the old Unearthed Arcana???), but Perception was used a LOT.
