Pathfinder 1E Pathfinder Immortality - Legitimate Gameplay Methods

There is a route to coming back in the far future: Imprisonment and then something to end it when you want to come back. I wouldn't have a problem with a wizard developing a time-limited version of it, either.

Pathfinder 1E Pathfinder Immortality - Legitimate Gameplay Methods

Raise dead has a time limit. Even true resurrection isn't going to work hundreds of years out.

    crafting larger portable holes?

I would say you have a black ball. I only allow flat portions of a portable hole to open, the physics become nuts if you consider an object sticking through a non-flat portion of the interface. (The space inside is normal, I just say the roof is solid anywhere the fabric isn't flat.)

    crafting larger portable holes?

I would permit a player to argue that this cost is too high, I was simply setting a baseline that I would automatically agree to.

D&D 3.x Coming back to D&D after 15 years.... Vow of poverty problems (3.5)

My take on the magic item use rules: A VoP character can freely use the property of others for the aid of others--all forms of "please use this on me" type requests are ok so long as they are compatible with Exalted status. However, the VoP character can't accept potions or the like to use on...

    crafting larger portable holes?

I would insist that it be a cylinder although I would allow it to be wider on the inside than the outside. The standard portable hole goes for 693gp/ft^3. I'd have no problem with a character trying to make a larger one at 700gp/ft^3, make it as big as you want.

    crafting larger portable holes?

That works for deeper, not wider.

    crafting larger portable holes?

I would have no problem with scaling up a portable hole to whatever size you want. Retaining the same price per cubic foot would if anything make a larger version overpriced.

D&D 3.x Coming back to D&D after 15 years.... Vow of poverty problems (3.5)

That's actually a more minor aspect of the problem. A bigger issue: Lets say we have a cleric VoP character in an inn at the side of the road, there's nobody else anywhere around. The cleric is out of spells for the day. A man comes up to him: My wife is very sick and won't live through the...

D&D 3.x Coming back to D&D after 15 years.... Vow of poverty problems (3.5)

The DM can devise the adventure so there's a good solution but what happens when the PC misses it?

D&D 3.x Coming back to D&D after 15 years.... Vow of poverty problems (3.5)

Remember that VoP only comes with Exalted status--gooder than a Paladin. This is a substantial limit (and as far as I'm concerned an absolute reason to exclude it from PCs--the DM has to ensure there is a good path out of the situation as to do otherwise is to destroy the character.) but it's...

Pathfinder 1E Fireball and Improved Cover

I would allow it. However, if he misses and strikes the wall outside I would be inclined to say that the people inside are completely protected. It's not merely the fire having to come in through the slit but the fact that it exploded directly in contact with the wall--there is no line of...

Pathfinder 1E What are some of the ways you have put your GM on the spot, and how did (s)he handle it?

One that shouldn't have worked: The opponent was an archer up on a bridge next to the railing. Big dumb brute type, low will save. Command: "Vault". DM: ???? Me: As in pole vault. DM: Rolls, picks up the figure and emulates diving, removes it from play. We both forgot that there are...

    Country after a Flood

You lose a lot more food than you lose mouths. Food can't move, mouths can.

    Immortality... what does it mean?

Actually, I had in mind the really long-lived stuff, not merely races like Elves. The description of liches talks about strange magics and the like--yet the lich gets no benefits from it's centuries or millenia of study. I was thinking of something along the lines of int bonus of knowledge per...

    Necklace of Tongues

Note the command 1/day. That's most of the cost right there. This item is way overpriced for just granting the language.

    Immortality... what does it mean?

I have long thought that there should be some mechanic where you gain knowledge skills over time even if you don't go up in level.

Some BOEF Inspired Spells (Rated PG-13)

True. I originally designed it as a innate ability for monsters like Succubi, higher level versions wouldn't make any sense in that regard.

    Raising a Succubus

It only does the harm if *SHE* chooses to remove it, not if it's dispelled. As such, I see no reason a good version couldn't have the same thing without the "Profane". She just would never remove it. My take on the summoning thing--I would say it would work but the summoned demon(s) would...
