Search for Eternal Youth: Spells Alter and Polymorph Self

They already got the bonus. I see no reason they would get it again just because they moved into a new body and again aged.

    Anything Denser than Neutronium?

Neutronium is just compressed neutrons. Release the pressure and they go flying with incredible velocity. Removing that pressure also allows them to decay.

    Anything Denser than Neutronium?

Once freed from the neutronium the neutrons have a half-life of 11 minutes. They're not going to fry more than spots on the planet with a line of sight to the explosion.

Search for Eternal Youth: Spells Alter and Polymorph Self

Yeah, with care this could be used in a non-evil fashion on a consenting subject. Drain them but not all the way, restore them and they're fine but the caster is younger. With a well-rounded commoner you'll get nearly a year's youth out of this for a cost of 600gp (+whatever you have to pay...

By the time you've done this enough to draw a Marut you'll almost certainly be powerful enough to deal with said Marut quite easily.

    Anything Denser than Neutronium?

I thought you still had motion of the neutrons and thus temperature. They're packed densely but not bound, that sounds to me like a superfluid.

    Anything Denser than Neutronium?

What's this love of neutronium as a building material??? Neutronium can only exist under extreme pressure--it's in effect a supercritical fluid at all temperatures. You can't build things out of it.

    Item creation with other consideration

I have no problem with the +7--that's presumably the best he can make or the best he can afford. Either are reasonable reasons for an odd bonus. I also have no problem with the requires 5 ranks, although I'm not sure about -10% for it. I would be tempted to make it 7 ranks instead. (In other...

D&D 3.x 3.5 - Some Questions - Monk, Drunken Master, Vow of Poverty

Potion to help a party member, definitely no. It's one of the serious flaws of the system as far as I'm concerned. I would think the level would likewise be prohibited.

Simple, (hopefully) balanced Vow of Poverty Houserules!

The VoP character can't be the target. Where's the abuse potential?

Simple, (hopefully) balanced Vow of Poverty Houserules!

I don't think there's anything wrong with a VoP character using someone else's item for their benefit. It shouldn't require atonement.

    Helpless But Standing

Some thoughts here: Coup de Grace is clearly the mechanism to use. However, the victim in this sort of case is *NOT* helpless. The reality is that a sufficiently trained person with a gun at their back can escape. Thus I would say the hostage can do something to escape. Reflex save vs the...

Simple, (hopefully) balanced Vow of Poverty Houserules!

I don't like the atonement part of it. I think the book was right in making willful violations absolutely break it. I do like that you prohibit them from being the target of expensive spells, that was a glaring flaw in the original VoP. I'm not sure what to do about the raise dead situation...

    Is This Unbalanced?

How about a different take on this: Eat the Soul: By eating murdered victim's brain you gain some of his knowledge and power. If their Int, Wis or Cha is higher than yours you get theirs for 24 hours. Mental skills work likewise. Physical skills only grant you 1/2 of the difference. At the...

Teleportation range limits and epic teleportation

I said it's too cool to raise the planet to a habitable temperature, not that it emitted no heat. Lets say the brown dwarf is "glowing" at 500 degrees F. Where does the planet have to be in order to stay above freezing? That's about 1/2 the temperature of the surface of the star. (You have...

Teleportation range limits and epic teleportation

I'm pretty sure that was about retaining the risk of teleporting low. Otherwise you could do so in complete safety by teleporting high over adequate padding.

Teleportation range limits and epic teleportation

If it's cool enough not to emit any visible light it's also too cool to raise the planet to habitable temperatures. Furthermore, the cooler the central body the closer the orbit has to be to get enough warmth. Energy goes at the square of distance but tides go at the cube of distance--thus the...

    1000 Empty Rooms

You said no treasure but since you're trying to make it interesting I would put a bit of mundane treasure. Simply deduct it from the treasure that nearby monsters have.

Or forget doing it by teleportation. The advance party ports in and builds a gate.
