    Looking for a Campaign World

Birthright, it's designed specifically for the kind of stories you see in A Song of Ice and Fire.

Save or Die: Yea or Nay?

Funny how players don't seem to mind save or die but DMs do.

No more WotC Star Wars site

I'm not shedding tears over here, I liked Star Wars D20 but didn't like Saga at all. The only saga I like is the old SAGA card game.

Which D&D Campaign World did you enjoy most?

Out of the official D&D worlds it's Cerilia by a wide margin. 1. Cerilia. The only official D&D setting that feels "real". There are a couple things I don't like (mainly the pantheon), but overall it's a great setting even without blooded characters. 2a. Athas. Athas is just cool...

    Must a campaign world change?

Harn managed to survive without change for a good long while. They concentrated on fleshing out what was already there instead of advancing the years with new events.

    New Ability: LUCK!

So you're telling me that a character with an average luck has a 15% chance of finding a magic item in a random bag? No thank you!

    alternate rule for iterative attacks.

I do two things. Firstly, instead of iterative attacks you gain a +1 increase to the threat range of any weapon you wield per +5 BAB. Secondly, you can choose to make multiple attacks in a round, but you suffer a cumulative -3 to all attack rolls per extra attack and you can't reduce your BAB...

The most character-less character you've ever played?

Vanil the vanilla fighter, basically he's an "in case of emergency break glass" character. Need a character in 5 minutes, pull out Vanil. I wish I could claim credit for the idea but I yoinked it from a fellow player several years ago.

    Alternity in Tempe

Anyone in Tempe still play or looking to play Alternity? I'd be interested in a Sunday game.

What could a publisher sell you RIGHT NOW/

    That's a big +1.

What are Your Favorite Out of Print RPGs?

D&D 3E (when combined with E6 philosophy) Alternity (I'm joining a Dark Heresy game, and every time I get involved with Sci-Fi I start jonesing for Alternity. sigh.) Conan D20 (far grittier and just plain better than 3E) The original Star Wars D20, not Saga. The old SAGA card game, it was...

    Best character name?

I've seen a few. The favorite from people I've gamed with: Nunuff Yobizniz (what's your name? Nunuff Yobizniz.) Favorites of my characters: Daern, a surly dwarf who would always become very angry when someone reminded him he shared a name with a famous Arch-Mage. Bah. A truly savage feral...

    Birthright??

Two reasons. First, it's more complex to run a regent campaign than a standard campaign. You could run a non-regent campaign, but then the players will always feel like their characters aren't very important. Secondly and more importantly, it came out just as TSR's ceiling came crashing down...

How come no one's publishing the old Corebooks?

The problem is the very limited number of new gamers who would need that book. Everyone who would play 3e is probably already playing, and already have a PHB.

    Rules on getting drunk?

I treat alcohol like a poison, which is essentially what it is. Different forms of alcohol have varying DCs and ability damage. Drinks beyond the first impose a cumulative -1 penalty to the fortitude save.

Anyone playing Iron Kingdoms in Hawaii?

Only if you're willing to wait a year or more while I save up money to move to Hilo.

D&D 3.x gamers who skipped 4e, why are you not "upgrading" to Pathfinder?

Pathfinder didn't fix anything, the answer to the class balance issues of 3.5 was NOT to power everyone up. Pathfinder is one huge power creep.

What could a publisher sell you RIGHT NOW/

Exactly. And it'd be much easier to get people to try it if you could just hand them a PHB instead of having to explain it to them.

What could a publisher sell you RIGHT NOW/

An E6 player's handbook. It could very easily be done without violating the OGL.
