Yeah, at 15th level I really wouldn't want to commit my one-and-only 8th level slot to mind blank all the time. Furthermore, detect scrying helps if your allies/party members are being scried on. :)

Biggest treasure scroll in the DMG is 6 spells, so I use that as a limit.

I agree with Shilsen. There's nothing in the description about them coming back. It's true that in AD&D 1st Ed. one star was replenished per day (but if you depleted them all, then that stopped). But that ability has been deleted.
