D&D 5E (2014) Do Arcane Abilities work when bound and gagged?

Major headache? Pffftttt. That's such absolute crap. But a blindfold over their eyes, or a sack on their head. Major headache solved.

Is it possible that 2nd edition could make a very popular come back?

I have nothing against 2e, but I frequent a lot of d&d/gaming forums and in my experience by far the least talked about version of the game. That page would also make you think people are still playing a ton of World of Darkness. I don't believe that for a second.

Is it possible that 2nd edition could make a very popular come back?

Necrotic! History has proven me correct so far. It seems like 2e is by far the least played edition.

D&D 5E (2014) Why a Good D&D Video Game Should be a Lego Video Game

I mean, it would be great for D&D. But those things aren't games so much as... I don't even know what to call them.

    D&D 5E (2014) Why a New D&D Video Game Should Be 16bit/2D

Sure but... Hasbro is a giant company that wants to make D&D a "pop culture thing" again. Making a 2d 16 bit downloadable game is probably not going to do that. Making a successful big game would, and would bring in a lot of money. And I'm sure many major game companies would be very...

    D&D 5E (2014) Why a New D&D Video Game Should Be 16bit/2D

Or you can look at the amazing not 2d not 16 bit totally mind blowing great popular basically D&D games that exist and try to make a good game like those. Witcher, Elder Scrolls, Dragon Age, Dark Souls, etc.

D&D 5E (2014) Eliminating darkvision from most races

Because light sources can be extinguished. They can be of varying strengths, providing areas of light and shadow. They can be placed and moved. They can run out of fuel. Darkvision can do none of those things. Also, a party is very likely to contain humans and halflings. So having a bunch...

D&D 5E (2014) Eliminating darkvision from most races

They did that in 4e. It worked great. In 5e the big drawback of removing it from PCs is that it puts monsters at a big advantage over lightless parties. But that could be a bonus for you. I say go for it!

Unearthed Arcana Unearthed Arcana Introduces The Artifcer

As a class by itself, it's fairly blah. I'm not a Pathfinder player, but their alchemist and engineer type characters are much cooler. Someone also made a 5e Homebrewer engineer that blows this thing out of the water. As a take on the Eberron artificer, it stinks. Doesn't feel "magitek" enough.

Tales From The Yawning Portal - 7 Classic Dungeons Updated To 5E!

That guy is absolutely popular with teenagers. He buys them beer in exchange for companionship and weed.

Tales From The Yawning Portal - 7 Classic Dungeons Updated To 5E!

D&D has become the 40 year old guy who still wears his highschool football letterman jacket every day and spends his nights sitting in a recliner drinking Bud Light and flipping through his senior yearbook with tears in his eyes thinking "those were the days."

New UA Paladin Sacred Oaths are Oath of Conquest and the Oath of Treachery

I agree with alignment restrictions being pretty stupid. However, they exist for the paladin and it's weird for them to be absent here. Especially two builds that scream evil in the flavor text.

New UA Paladin Sacred Oaths are Oath of Conquest and the Oath of Treachery

So... Death Cleric and Oathbreaker Paladin= must be evil. Treachery Paladins and Hell Knights= no alignment restrictions? What?

D&D 5E (2014) Can a spell be cast to cause non lethal damage?

Sure, why not? Though I'd say they needed to do something extra to get it to work, like succeed at an Arcana check or spend inspiration.

    D&D 5E (2014) Why can’t I find anything wrong with 5e?

Have you tried? It's pretty easy.

D&D 5E (2014) Solving the problem of initiative.

In my experience with stuff like that in RPGs and real time board/card games, that kind of system just ends up in shouting and confusion. There's a reason everyone had to wait in line at the school cafeteria instead of everyone running around at once.

D&D 5E (2014) Do you want a Forgotten Realms Campaign Guide?

And it's a great book. But if I was new to D&D I don't think I'd want to but something with incompatible rules I don't understand.

D&D 5E (2014) Do you want a Forgotten Realms Campaign Guide?

If I was new to D&D or to the Forgotten Realms with 5e, I'd certainly want one and be irritated with the lack of one.

UA Monks Introduces the Kensai and Tranquility Traditions

Out of all the cool options they could have gone with, we get a kind of sort of kensai and a bland "pacifist." Disappointing.

Unearthed Arcana Unearthed Arcana Fighter: Samurai, Sharpshooter, Arcane Archer & Knight

I meant that by using 4e Justice Warrior he's proven to probably be the kind of angry troll human who spends all his time online complaining about Social Justice Warriors.
