A book that I really wish I could go back and buy. It is a collectors item now. I just really like the Dune story.
My local hobby store had a damaged copy they were selling for 50$...
oh well,
Ysgarran.
Normally a book that advertises new feats, PrCs and/or spells makes me yawn. I've no interest in cluttering up the system with extraneous and unneeded rules. Just my preference.
I picked up Testament and have say that they got it exactly correct. Feats and spells that truly further the feel...
Here is the information I've summed up so far about the winners:
Keith Baker Winner, should see something by the end of the year.

Rich Burlew:
Top 3 finisher, got 10 grand and WotC has the rights.
Nathan Toomey
Top 3 finisher, got 10 grand...
Might be getting my feats mixed up but doesn't he need
'Shield Expert' to get this to work correctly? Or can he forgoe
the bonus to AC and still use the shield as an off hand weapon?
Sorry for drifting into rules here.
Ysgarran.
Re: Re: [3.5] Rangers lose medium armor!
Hah! The Ranger will still be everyones favorite class to come up with 'alternate' versions for. That is one part of 3.5 that won't change from 3.0 ;)
Ysgarran.
I think your analysis was interesting but rather pointless. The question isn't whether 3.5v TWF is more or less powerfull versus 3.0v TWF, the real question is how 3.5v TWF compares to 3.5v 2-H fighting. Most of Lotus's post was about the relative gains in power between the two fighting...

How many gods are left? Do clerics still have their connection to their god? Do Clerics lose power also?
Demons do not obtain their power from worship (assuming you follow that model about why gods want to be worshipped), they would be more than happy to rush to fill the power vacumm...
Don't forget the Babylon 5 combat sim ("Babylon 5: Into the Fire") that was canceled by Sierra. Had a chance to play the demo at GenCon the year it was supposed to released...looked like it was going to be a good game.
Could you explain this more? Are talking about the fact that a large percentage of my taxes (USA) are going towards paying the national debt or something else?
I'm curious because I don't have any debt at all.
Ysgarran.
edit:
OK, after reading your message again what you are refering to is...
Heh, you are not the only one...
Could you put a signed copy up on e-bay early without breaking any rules? I'd bid on it...
Nice...
Who is the Artist?
Ysgarran.
Resurrecting an old thread here.
Has anyone a firm accouting of what happened to the submissions that made it into the top tier?
How many made their way into an independent publisher?
When is the WotC winner supposed to be published?

Yes, very frustrating and annoying especially when you have finished the movie first time and want to explore other paths.
I just don't want to watch Regdar fight the earth element more than once, I just to want to explore the other paths.
How much time is there between 'jump' points. I found...
My preferred change would be to make stat boosting items much more expensive. From we've seen so far, many save or die spells have been greatly curtailed.
Well, by this reasoning either dodge should give a plus 2 to armor class or Great Fortitude, Lightning Reflexes and Iron Will should give only +1 to the appropriate saves.
The change to spell focus is the 3.5 change I dislike the most...so far.
Ysgarran.
I'm pretty much the exact opposite. If I have the time for mini-adventures I use it to play around with different systems rather
than a d20 version.
I usually don't have the time and my friends have no interest in trying anything different.
Ysgararn.
The Midnight campaign has some different half-breeds.
Dwarf/Orc
Elf/Halfing
I think there might be a dwarf/human but I don't remember and my book isn't handy...
