My big disappointment was the lack of weapons mods and the hinky Essence bit. If you hit Essence 1 then you could upgrade to Alphaware. If you had a Predator II pistol you couldn't buy a smartlink. Really hurt the game. Oh, and the campaign was kind of short.

So you can shoot the evil warlord in the face without shooting the party paladin too. Shot is for charging goblins, slugs are for anti-paladins.

I've found that magic is problematic at higher levels. Fighters are way outclassed by other classes by at least 8th level, by 15+ they might as well stay home half the time. The saving throws are only half of the problem.
