I dunno, I'm one of the group who likes to read the adventures. It works for me as I can see how the story is suppose to go. It also helps me remember what's coming up in the next session.

I really wished we could get some of the better adventures (Tomb of Annihilation, Rime, maybe Descent to Avernus and of course Strahd) in the BG3 treatment. I know that would be a huge amount of work to keep the quality on par. I'd love to adventure into Chult.

Really good post. I was surprised by all the +1s or -1s you can get and all the status conditions. I definitely wouldn't want to have to deal with all that in a table top game. As you stated a lot of things people seem to want to carry over into 5e are already in 5e. BG3 is a really great video...

I agree with this as well. I definitely prefer magic items to be in the DMG.

As I've been playing through BG3 (on xbox so I'm a couple months behind) I've been thinking of all the YouTube videos I've seen. The videos would talk about how this is what 5e should become. As I play it I can't help but to think, no this would be too much fiddly stuff. I've been enjoying BG3...

But did they really need to? Paizo themselves have said PF2e didn't have much of the ogl in it. I'm definitely not trying to debate just curious. I only ever see the very rare occasional post from PF1e fans that are disgruntled.

All those PF2e books sold only for them to turn around and revise it. They get a pass though, or it seems like they do. It'd definitely be torches and pitchforks had that been WotC.

Larian made a great video game. It's my favorite game, beating out Red Dead 2. But that's just it, they made a great video game. There's no track record that they could make and maintain a great TTRPG.

Yeah I wanted to involve the Gulthias tree in some way. The lore of the tree is really cool to me.

I second the Legacy of thr Crystal Shard. I've read through Rime and thought it to be very good. I'll probably run that next when we finish Shattered Obelisk. I'm actually torn between Rime and Avernus.
