    Invisibility, Stealth, and Sneak Attack.

Ah - I thought that you were misusing the term. Sorry! :D

    Invisibility, Stealth, and Sneak Attack.

No, he isn't. Your target is denied his Dexterity bonus against your attacks if you are invisible to him. He is not flat-footed. The two are similar, but they are not identical. It's a bit nitpicky, but calling the guy "flat-footed" when he's not just increases confusion.

    Is D&D "about" combat?

There's nothing wrong with it. You are also, however, not using the game system as designed. Which I think is Hussar's point.

D&D 3.x Will Monks become new 3.5 Fighter class?

Excellent summation; it matches my (somewhat limited) experience as well.

Forest of Doom - IC Thread

Jonath Cailan: Jonath pauses as soon as the goblinish creature comes into view, and rapidly backs several feet back down the trail, hoping to put a turn between him and the creature. Glancing around, he finds the likeliest spot to conceal himself and, possibly, the rest of the group from the...

Praise and element or aspect of a game or edition you don't like.

Yeah, this is kinda my problem. There are games and editions I like less than others, and there are games and editions I wish I could play / could have played more of, but I can't think of any I actively dislike.

I disagree; he's definitely got a rapier-sharp wit, based on his Intelligence score. What he lacks is the ability to make friends and influence people; he's not the most outgoing of guys, he fades into the background in a tavern scene, and he's not a leader. And good looks are the weakest...

    DMing large groups. (Halp)

Not really (but thanks for the compliments!). :) The "complicated" stuff happens at prep time - having good notes done beforehand is all that's really needed, and that will be true regardless of how many players you're running for. I use initiative cards regardless of how many players I have...

    D&D 4E Going to Pathfinder from 4E

Here's the thread I was thinking of: http://www.enworld.org/forum/pathfinder-rpg-discussion/300138-what-main-changes-3-5-pathfinder.html Hope that helps!

New Mearls Article - Skills in D&D

To turn this back on you, "Maybe?" I recall playing in an Ars Magica game many, many moons ago, and one of the things I recall doing was picking what I recall to be something like D&D 3.X-ish feats. One of the guys I was playing with picked some ability that helped him cast more or better...

    Unseen Servant spell question

In your 3.0 PHB, it'll be called "Mordenkainen's Faithful Hound." If you look for it in the 3.0 SRD online, it'll be called "Faithful Hound." You can find it here in the Spells (F) sheet.

    D&D 4E Going to Pathfinder from 4E

A core class is a 20-level class which you can enter at 1st-level (essentialy, "not a prestige class"), and which appears in the original core rulebook (e.g., Fighter, Wizard, Cleric, etc.). A base class is a 20-level class which you can enter at 1st-level, and which appears in some other...

No, it is not. But, for nearly all practical purposes, it is. :)

    Is D&D Art?

The problem is that Danny keeps insisting on his circular definition (while simultaneously claiming not to be defining anything). That's a perfectly fine, non-circular definition. It also includes D&D under its umbrella. I suspect it doesn't, but we'll see. No, wrecan's fine with art...

    DMing large groups. (Halp)

Yeah, apart from the fact that half of those issues are solved by either the use of miniatures or because of the fact that the players should be keeping track of them, the whole point of using "squads" is that you don't have to track a large part of that stuff. Consider what actually happens...

Jonath Cailan: Jonath, who had remained warily silent through most of the exchange, regards the trapped man impassively. "My friends are willin' and able to leave you here, to your own devices. I'd say that gives yeh jus' one last chance to come clean. Give us your name an' your purpose...

    DMing large groups. (Halp)

I don't think a +0 or +1 to attack rolls is common at low levels at all, so I don't think the "immunity" part is as big an issue as you raise. Additionally, consider three kobolds attacking a rogue, each of whom, individually, has a 20% chance to hit (e.g., they hit on a roll of 17 or better)...
