Space is Not the Only Thing Trying to Kill You in the Alien RPG

Which is why I posted to Fredrix what I posted. It's not just a retro feel fluff mechanic, it is a solid increase to the success chances.

Space is Not the Only Thing Trying to Kill You in the Alien RPG

I wouldn't call an increased chance of success being purely a retro feel. If you get to use a D8, D10 or d12 on your roll it increases the chance of success. An increased chance of rolling a six or higher. That's a solid mechanical benefit.

Space is Not the Only Thing Trying to Kill You in the Alien RPG

I'm hoping that they'll offer other forms of danger. From environmental to life forms. :) Free League's really impresses me as I said to Rus and I think they'll put the leg work into offering us more.

Space is Not the Only Thing Trying to Kill You in the Alien RPG

Free Leagues is impressing me and starting to put a dent in my wallet. Actually the Nov/Dec time period has put a dent in my wallet. First their was your Cursed Earth release, then the $225.00 in Cubicle Seven stuff I snagged before that was all gone for Middle Earth 5e and then the Forbidden...

TSR GENCON IX: When Many Sought Adventure

Wonderful read, eighteen months before I joined the hobby unfortunately though by that time I was already a huge fan of Leiber. I'd have loved to have gone to that GENCON to meet Leiber, Fischer and Barker and listen to them speak about their writing.

Werewolf: the Apocalypse 5th Edition Trailer

It's why I've taken to not really responding to their posts. Which sucks but there ya go.

    D&D 5E (2014) Eberron: Rising from the Last War - A Review

In my personal opinion the Artificer's two stats should be Int and Dex. Not Dex and Con or Int and Cha. That's just my opinion. (shrugs)

Cubicle 7 No Longer Producing The One Ring and Adventures in Middle Earth

I tend to wonder if it didn't have something to do with Cubicle Seven taking on Warhammer Fantasy.

An Interview with Lawrence Whitaker of the Design Mechanism

Definitely could understand how some would find the 450 page book more cumbersome to deal with size and heft wise.

An Interview with Lawrence Whitaker of the Design Mechanism

Yeah the readability of the Mythras core book is what I'm talking about, or lack of. Went and downloaded the last year ( October 2018 versions ) revisions on Drivethrurpg, and didn't see any real change/improvement. I've got your 2015 versions and now the 2018 versions. If you're telling me...

An Interview with Lawrence Whitaker of the Design Mechanism

Really? I might have to check for updates because my older revisions are really hard on the eyes as is the physical copy I own as well. Edit: went to Drivethrurpg and checked and there were two newer versions from Oct 2018, downloaded them and did a side by side with my two previous versions...

    D&D General Too many cultists

Multi-tasking at it's worse. I meant to say "Don't forget resources".

Looks like a fun weekend. 🙂 Can't wait to read some reviews on the Aliens rpg.

Chaosium Doing Rivers of London RPG

Looking forward to seeing how they implement this. I'm fond of the BRP system, though they need an editor to go through the system and clean it up and lay it out better.

Cubicle 7 No Longer Producing The One Ring and Adventures in Middle Earth

I saw the news yesterday morning on my Instagram feed due to following Cubicle Seven. I hadn't snagged the last three releases yet and since I'd been trying to support my FLGS I'd been buying the physical products from them and hadn't snagged the pdfs (which I like to also have). So in a panic I...

    TSR TSR's "Designeritus"

Yup, because of that double duty it's a mechanic I'm not fond of. I feel it's a bad design concept.

Upper management TSR was TSR's own worst enemy. :/

RPG Crowdfunding News – The Islands of Sina Una, Traveller, TORG Cyberpapacy, Mummy, and more

So basically you brought the troubles from real life to these forums. You are aware across the world any one moment there are terrible things happening to someone(s) that anyone of us could bring to these forums. So maybe you should consider not bringing real life to the forums if you can help...

Andy Peregrine Confirmed As Dune Line Manager

Hopefully one of the big changes will be better layout/format. While the 2d20 system intrigues and the books are beautiful the layout of mechanics leaves a lot to be desired. If I'm being blunt I'd rate it as terrible.
