    Good & Bad : Wizards

Yes, but you can do that with any push/pull/slide power. Now, admittedly, at higher levels as a Wizard it'll push a ton of squares, but until then it's nothing too crazy, which is probably why I wasn't seeing it being all that great (y'know, 3 squares versus, say, 8 squares, miiiinor differences...

    Coup de Grace and Charge

So ultimately, you have to make one of two decisions: 1.) Using nimble strike lets you back up to avoid OAs from making a ranged attack 2.) Using nimble strike lets you make a ranged attack from an adjacent position without provoking an OA, by letting you shift into that spot as part of the...

How to kill a blue dragon?

I'd say this is probably one of the best ways to reflavor it IMO. It accomplishes the same goal - that is, the target thinks "ooohhhh @#$% I'm gonna fall to my death" - and isn't anything so crazy it's unbelievable.

    Good & Bad : Wizards

I personally never understood why stuff like Icy Terrain or Thunderwave really was all that useful. Let's face it, what's a 3-square push or difficult terrain going to do to stop full movement + charge distance? If anything they might even have an immediate reaction or something that lets them...

    Immediate Interrupts: Rule vs Etiquette?

You can really go either way. On one hand, sure it can sorta feel like the power was wasted. At the same time, you didn't just blow your turn's standard action or anything, so it's nothing TOO major. I'd say it really depends on the group you're playing with.

Need help from someone with crazy math skills...

That actually does sound pretty interesting, though I'm curious how you found a velocity with just a displacement :P Very first google result for "longbow speed" gave me 133.7ft/s :P Though another result further down on the page says something about 150-180fps speed for bows as someone's...

Projectile motion isn't exactly complicated math. :p

Addind ½lvl to your powers... not?!

Should a Lich Vestige (lv26 minion) and a Kobold Minion (lv1 minion) have the same chance to hit you and be hit? And if so, is it fine that a lv1 character kills a lv26 minion just as easily as a lv1 minion? Should a lv1 enemy Wizard's spells have the same chance to hit a lv30 Wizard as a lv1...

Need help from someone with crazy math skills...

Working on an equation. For the first 21 levels it goes up by.. 25 * 2^int[(x-1)/4] Where x is the level. So going to 2nd level it goes up by 25, going to 6th level it goes up by 50, etc. The only problem is the easiest way to utilize this equation would be sigma notation but I'm not familiar...

Addind ½lvl to your powers... not?!

Lower level monsters become easier to hit and will hit you less often, and higher level monsters are harder to hit and will hit you more often. But yes, for even level monsters it's always about the same hit rate; however, if they didn't scale it like they do, a lv1 character and a lv30...

    Martial Artist Creation

I like the concept! However, my biggest concern is, well... what class would you use the feats with? It'd also really detract from the main goal of the class. Hm.

    Barbarian Playtest Experiences

Ya know, it seems (at least in my experience) that at least one character experiences that every session. That is, being the guy who gets knocked unconscious, healed, knocked unconscious, healed, knocked unconscious, etc ad infinitum.

    Barbarian Playtest Experiences

In terms of the OP: Pretty much agree with the OP minus the over-complexity thing. It was pretty simplistic for me. This is coming from having switched from a Wizard, which seemed to have a lot more complexity (having extra dailies you pick from, tracking rituals, things of that nature). I agree...

    D&D 4E UPDATED 6/20/08! kiznit's 4e Fold-over Character Sheet w/ Cards

A PDF editor can handle it easily. If you don't want to shell out a ton of money for the official Adobe one, I suggest Foxit PDF Editor (Foxit Software)

Looking for a unarmed fighter class name

Outside of monk? Brawler, bruiser, pugilist, and martial artist are the first four names that come to mind, though they've already been mentioned. I think they key thing is to stick to something people will recognize when they read it (IE if someone reads martial artist, they probably have a...

    My game box

Cool! I like it. Personally, though, I think I'll stick to a folder and a dice bag, but having a box for everything is a nice idea. :) Now if only I had a similar way to carry around the bazillion things a DM might need: minis/tokens, oodles of dice, maps, rulebooks, campaign stuff (be it a...

    Cantrips and Wizard Multiclassing

Well, because they're basic tricks. It's the equivalent of a relative "pulling a quarter out of your ear" or doing some basic card trick compared to some "experienced"/famous Magician. Uncle Bob can do the basic trick just as well as Harry Houdini, but Uncle Bob can't be hung upside-down wearing...

Our First Game -- What some non-RPG fans Learned that they want to share!

Actually... wouldn't you want the token zones on the left side as a righty (and vice-versa for lefties) so you can write on and manipulate stuff on the sheet with your right hand without knocking tokens around (esp. w/sleeves) or having to angle your arm?
