    The Avengers (SPOILERS BEWARE0

My wife and I both swear that we saw Coulson, briefly, at the very end, after Fury tells Maria that the Avengers will come together if necessary, and she walks away as the camera lifts up to give a broad view of the helicarrier's bridge. I watched it again, and I still see a guy in Coulson's...

    D&D 5E (2014) 5E - Would you buy e-Books?

By that reasoning you think I should pay the cover price for an electronic copy? I say 50% because that's about what the retail stores pay for each copy of a book they sell. I know this from personal experience with my book of poetry and with my relationship with that book's publisher. So, the...

    D&D 5E (2014) 5E - Would you buy e-Books?

Assuming a reasonable cost for e-book version (by that, I consider about 50% of the hardcover price to be reasonable), then I would buy the e-book instead of hardcover. An e-book that costs more than that, I would just buy a hardcover version instead. Now, if there was a significant discount on...

    The Legend of Korra

I disagree, but then opinions on art are as diverse as art itself.

What will eventually be the classic adventures!

The Red Hand of Doom was my favorite from 3rd Edition. White Plume Mountain got a really nice update to 3rd Edition and was released for free on the website (probably still in the archives). Night Below was my favorite from 2nd Edition.

    [May] What are you reading?

I just finished "The Wind Through the Keyhole" which was an interesting read for fans of Roland and the Dark Tower series, particularly if you've read the comic book series. I'm not really sure how much appeal it has to people who haven't read at least through "Wolves of the Calla," though...

    GLEE #63: Prom-asaurus

I have to say that I think that is the most attractive Rachel has ever looked. It was kind of nice seeing Quinn and Santana do something nice for Rachel, too.

    GLEE #63: Prom-asaurus

Crothian - Yes, that's been my sense, too. I think I'm ready to find something else to watch on Tuesday nights unless something changes.

    Kindle or iPad 3?

Thanks. This now also begs the question about keyboard. Can I type on a touch screen as fast as I do on a regular keyboard, or would I need to buy a compatible keyboard? And how much screen real estate of an iPad is taken up by the keyboard? I'm not in the market now, but I hope to be so come...

    Kindle or iPad 3?

How about simple productivity with Office programs? That's one thing no tablet I've ever tried has been able to do. It's why when my last netbook died I bought another netbook instead of the iPad.

    The Shire to Mordor directions

Yeah, I wasn't saying that it didn't work. I was saying that it DID work and even gave me a map, which I found funny because Mordor is apparently somewhere in Philadelphia.

How often do you read a rulebook through?

Cover-to-cover usually twice, and then use indexes/TOC/page number references after that. The first time I'm reading to understand the game. The second time I'm reading to figure out how it all works and to begin brainstorming how I'd like to use it. After that it's normally a reference book...

    The Shire to Mordor directions

I just tried it myself. It even gave me a map from Voorhees NJ (about an hour west of where I live) to someplace in Philadelphia.

Thanks. If it doesn't really play with either, then I won't bother hitting up the library for them.

    The Avengers (SPOILERS BEWARE0

Sort of like a gyro or doner kebab. (same thing, really) They are very tasty, especially the ones I had from the greasy spoon take-aways in Marmaris, Turkey when I was in the Navy. Yumm. On topic - my wife bought tickets for a Saturday evening showing for my birthday present. Can't wait...

    GLEE #62: Choke

I'm glad Kurt didn't do all of "Music of the Night." He completely butchered the part he did sing. I am a very large fan of "Phantom" (I have several versions on CD, DVD, Blu-Ray, and even audio cassette, as well as having seen it on Broadway and other stages several times, including a special...

    [May] What are you reading?

I do not, but I recently finished "The Deputy Sheriff of Comanche County" by Edgar Rice Burroughs. Link I'm currently reading "The Wind Through the Keyhole" by Stephen King, the current issue of Poetry Magazine, and paging through the Sword Noir and Technoir RPGs.

    [May] What are you watching?

Saturday morning cartoons - Thundercats at 9:30, Green Lantern at 10, Young Justice at 10:30, and The Legend of Korra at 11. Sundays - Once Upon a Time (wife's choice), Chopped All-Stars Mondays - whatever I have from Netflix -- right now the "new" Knight Rider and The Mentalist on rotation...
