They are definately heavy aren't they? Overall I have to say I'm impressed with the redesign, have not read for changes othr than those pointed out in the Dragon articles. The layout is much improved overall though.

Thanks, It's a little idealized I think.. closed to where I was a few years ago.. even though I just did it last month.. also the lighting had a lot to do with it. Made my eyes feel deaper and I lost some of the chin, but overall I'm happy with it. Professor thought it didn't resemble me...

Some books I definately suggest for you are Dynamic Figure Drawing, and The Artist guide to human anatomy. Both are very good references as well as learning aids. Still Lifes are only droll if you draw droll subjects.. change the lighting, the objects etc. to be something interesting. I hate...

If you really want to improve your art you need to do a lot of it.. Also take the opportunity to diversify your personal work.. draw everything, make still lifes, draw models.. study anatomy and do lots of life drawing.. Art is more skill less talent.. it takes work and a persistant work...

It's not that I'm unhappy per-se, more that I don't know if they're big enough changes to warrant buying new books.. I'll probably do the SRD thing at first, read your copies.. you know:) I need to get a better feel for the books before I adapt to them.. as I said last night, I probably won't...

Based on all I have read of late I cancelled my oder for the 3.5 books today.. I think I'll pass for now. Wait the storm out so to speak. But 3.51 sounds like an awesome investment.. when's it going to come out??
