A Deep Dive in D&D: Dragon Delves

You are spreading misinformation. There is no such thing as alignment affecting spells or features in the 2024 Player Handbook. As for alignment. In adventures they give us context anyway, so we don’t really need them. I couldn’t care less personally.

    D&D 5E (2024) 2024 Gladiator: The Narrative Dissonance

5.5 didn’t bloat any apart from legendary monsters and monsters who lost b/p/s damage resistance. For some data analysis, look for Blogofholding and the Finished Book.

D&D General Did 5e 2024 Not meet the economic goals set, and if not, why not?

I get it. It's just that so far, my experience is that PC's have gotten a bit stronger at level 1, but overall the balance between classes and subclasses is a LOT better. Some of the spiky bits have been filed off, like Stunning Strike and Divine Smite spam. The big improvement is that the...

D&D General Did 5e 2024 Not meet the economic goals set, and if not, why not?

How deep do you want to dig your grave? The encounter building thread was made BEFORE the release of the 2024 DMG. And then you pretend like I am the fool? I don't like how smug you are about this either, and I hope you learn some humility.

D&D General Did 5e 2024 Not meet the economic goals set, and if not, why not?

Yes, but what does this have to do with the revision? I understand this. If anything, I see a lot of people running it without the other supplements. Are we now against adding player options? I just limit options based on the campaign setting, but I really don't get where we are going with...

D&D General Did 5e 2024 Not meet the economic goals set, and if not, why not?

I don’t see the issue. They make new options, and a few of them are more powerful in certain situations. I think you’re just talking about an increase in options? I don’t understand what this has to do with the revision. That thread doesn’t talk about experiences using the new monsters and...

D&D General Did 5e 2024 Not meet the economic goals set, and if not, why not?

The thing is, there isn't that much power creep. In my experience, the difference is the biggest at level 1 because of origin feats and weapon masteries, but they even out over the levels. My lvl 12 bard didn't feel any different after transitioning to 2024 D&D, except that she was actually...

D&D General Did 5e 2024 Not meet the economic goals set, and if not, why not?

A lot of the rules is out there for free, and people ar happy to teach you. If you are interested, I run one-shots from time to time. Could be fun!

D&D General Did 5e 2024 Not meet the economic goals set, and if not, why not?

Opposed checks were tedious and stacked in the PC’s favor to an insane degree. It was easy for a barbarian to make every grapple check with +5 and advantage while the enemies only had +1 to +3. This only got worse at higher levels, when the PC’s bonus grew with proficiency, and less than 1% of...

Playing the game is the most important thing to me. Have you tried the revision yet?

A Deep Dive in D&D: Dragon Delves

I am not insisting that. I just think it would have given some more clarity. Please don’t put words in my mouth.

A lot of people who have played it agree with it being an improvement.

A Deep Dive in D&D: Dragon Delves

There isn't. Let me know if anyone finds a statement or video fragment. I also think it should have clearly stated that the 2024 books should be used for this book.

Which is fine. They did not promise forward compatibility.

A Deep Dive in D&D: Dragon Delves

In some ways, yes. I don't think it's a good read if you are not planning to run the adventures. It's biggest strength is the tight adventure design, which won't make it of much use outside of that. Having run the first half of the first adventure, I really like it so far. I really liked the...

I loved Treasury of Dragons and am now really enjoying Glory of the Giants. I would love a Feywild book!

Just waiting for people to spin fastest selling into anything other than “selling the most shortly after release”.

D&D General How Do I Help Mentor a GM Making Rookie Mistakes?

I would 100% bring it up after the session or even before the next with everyone present. Make sure to lather it with praise, but explain your issues without criticism, and ask what the rest of the table thinks. So far, a lot of these look like additional detrimental effects, are there also...

D&D General D&D Beyond's Users Online Over Last Year

A few questions! 1. How is this data tracked? 2. Can we see similar trends on other online platforms used for D&D? 3. Do we have numbers from before the release of the revision?
