WotC WotC Removes Digital Content Team Credits From D&D Beyond

I am trying to enter a support ticket, but I am a bit lost on how to do this right. I have barely purchased any content on D&D Beyond apart from Curse of Strahd. Would the digital team also have been on that credit page? Let's do what we can do to make sure WotC knows we care about giving...

    D&D 5E (2024) New Jeremy Crawford Interviews

Sure, I’ll deal with it when it shows up at my table. Optimizers will optimize the fun out of the game as always. And yes, I do find it silly to believe all a paladin does is smiting.

    D&D 5E (2024) New Jeremy Crawford Interviews

My player? I just tell them no, I have seen what 2014 paladins can do and it is not interesting to me anymore. I have made players change their build before, I can do it again. Of course I talk about it with them and try to see eye to eye on the subject. In the end, the DM decides what content...

    D&D 5E (2024) New Jeremy Crawford Interviews

Planned obsolescence is a great term, but it really, really does not apply here. Your books aren't worn down because they were made of faulty material, or their battery is drained faster because of software changes. They have made an optional revision. You can keep playing D&D 2014 until the...

    D&D 5E (2024) D&D Background and Origin Feat Article

Hey yeah, I totally forgot about traits! I've seen people use them to great effect, but maybe more people ignored them after writing them down. I am fine with either, but I liked how they helped players think about their characters. I would say "trap mechanic" is a bit overblown, but there is...

    D&D 5E (2024) New Jeremy Crawford Interviews

Because not everyone cares about doing nova damage? Because a player is fine with moving to the 2024 rules with the rest of the group? I understand that it feels like it was a nerf, but as a DM I very much welcome paladins being given more flexibility and not just a smite button.

    D&D 5E (2024) D&D Background and Origin Feat Article

Getting upset and complaining on forums won't make your game or experience better. Trying to find ways to deal with your problems or even accept the way things are will make one a lot happier. Luckily in the world of TTRPG's we can do a LOT to make the game fit our needs and our table. And if...

    D&D 5E (2024) D&D Background and Origin Feat Article

Sorry if this is personal, but I have seen you on the boards having a hard time with 5e. You don’t enjoy the playstyle, but players do. Worse is that it sounds like players don’t stick in your game. Have you thought about… changing your mind? It would probably bring you a lot more enjoyment.

    D&D 5E (2024) New Jeremy Crawford Interviews

If anything deserved a nerf, it was paladins. It looks like they nerfed them a tiny bit, and buffed them everywhere else. They still look like a powerhouse of a class.

D&D General Shocked how hard it is to get new players now-a-days

When I was looking to make my first in-person game last year, I intentionally told the players that I needed players with homes big enough to play in, since mine is too small. It might have been a big ask, but a place to play is more important than what you decide to play!

    D&D 5E (2024) D&D species article

And yet... D&D 5e is a wonderful game where every day millions of people enjoy going on fantastical adventures. I get your frustration, but I'm trying to say it's not that bad.

D&D General Do You Use a DM Screen?

I don't like the big barrier between me and the players, neither do I have enough room on the table for it. I have learned to play without, though I do use an iPad for my prep notes and reference.

D&D 5E (2014) Curse of Strahd Party Composition Question

It's silly, but two of the most important magic items in the adventure can RAW only be attuned to by a good aligned paladin or cleric. I would scrub off the requirement. But yes, a paladin or cleric would fill the party out nicely.

And finally, it could also be that they're not a match with the DM's style.

    D&D 5E (2024) So Class Complexity...

Yesss, another thread about this table. I bet this is gonna come back over and over and over again for the entire run of this PHB. Have fun with discussing!

D&D 5E (2024) What is your oppinion of 5.24 so far?

Not that I am aware. Dragons of Stormwreck Isle was released kinda recently, and I think it was intended to be the kit for this revision. Now I don't think that really works, but from what I've heard it's a great starter adventure.
