I say you did the right thing. If you don't show these new players what metagaming is, and all the things they shouldn't do for the sake of the game, then they will continue to do it and never learn the unsaid "rules" of the game.

Maybe have the whole world use the same currency, and the main central region is the one who mints the coins. But they don't have the gold,silver,etc. to make the coins. They have to rely on other regions to mine the resource, and then central region has to import it. Without the other regions...

I agree. I take Mario over Cloud Strife simply for the fact, Mario is a vet and been around since my 1st Nintendo way back in the day. And then comes along this lil bleach blonde kid with a sword. Mario could take him in a fight, simply for the fact that Mario can keep coming back, Cloud dies...

Make him a crazy lil guy. You could make him a transmuter, and he's always changing stuff into something else, and he doesn't remember he did it. He always thinks someone else did it, and they are after him. I think it was you being vague, or me misuderstanding you.

a.) Go Wizard specialized in Necromancy, and give him levels of the Palemaster prestige class. b.) Take levels of Wizard and Cleric, and give him levels in the True Necromancer prestige class. c.) Go Cleric, with Spell Focus/Greater Spell Focus Necromancy, and use inflict spells, and other...

As me and my friends have come to understand about many other things like this in D&D, is that it's not very realistic in alot of areas. Maybe that's the case here.

I think if you are going to be playing a Paladin, a half celestial would be much cooler. They are better than the half dragon IMO.

I think you could do well by making Rogue/Wizard/Arcane Trickster. Start with Rogue to get the skills and the Sneak Attack, then take Wizard levels until you can become the Trickster.

I don't know how accurate this is, but it worked for us. You will see that it will increase in increments of like 1.3 mil, 1.3 mil, 1.5 mil, 1.5 mil, 1.7 mil, 1.7 mil, every level in that order. Just find where the pattern stops at for 40th level, and then go on above it using the same pattern.
