If you and/or your players are really into the Deities and the religious part of the game, grab Faiths and Pantheons.

I don't have the Manual of the Planes, so I don't know much about them. But you could have one of the evil deities create a powerful artifact that merges Toril with one of the really twisted planes.

I don't think it is fair to the PC for a DM to nerf him after the DM messed up by giving him something. You should find a way to make it challenging for him and the party, instead of getting someone to steal his stuff. That makes PC's real mad. Just use some enemies with True Seeing.

Some people would say wanting to change characters because you are lacking in the combat would be considered power gaming. But in your case you want to be helpful, not the head hancho fighter that does 1000 damage per round. IMO that's not powergaming. And you are willing to keep your stats...

I think France bought their World Cup victory 4 years ago. I just find it odd for them to win the cup as the host nation, then 4 years later they get sent home without scoring one freakin' goal!

Well where's the fun in that! :D The Heirophant class is awsome. I played a Cleric of Velsharoon who was big on touch spells. One level of Heirophant he took Divine Reach, and laid waste to baddies!

It wouldn't be AC-20's and PPC's. He would get a high level artificer hook him up with cannons that launch fireballs that do 50d6 damage, and some SRM's that fire like 75 Magic Missle's!

I would use HD instead of it's ECL. Because doesn't HD essentially mean the same as level?
