My favorite B series module based on text/reviews is B10: Night's Dark Terror. I wonder if that would adapt well to modern play. If anybody actually ever played in that one I'd be interested in how it actually played out.

Ah yes. It makes sense then that Isle of Dread would be a nice continuation but since it would be levels 4+ a traditional adventure book would make more sense. Throw in a nice hex map of the isle and my wallet will open.

Wouldn’t the story just emerge? I see so many forum posts saying they should learn from the OSR and then when they adopt concepts from it like terse description and sandbox style play the feedback is - where’s the storyline?

I got mine and I’m going excited to run it. The art on the tokens, booklets and monster cards is amazing. It’s similar to the 5e standard style but somehow has a little more edge maybe more of a 3e vibe? It’s hard to describe

The Gladiator sounds grisly and fun.

I think Wizards is trying forward looking content, they just have an established player base that viciously resists change. Their strict adherence to the survey model that allows that user base to influence what gets printed is the issue. They could start making 6E and it would be surveyed back...

This is so dull compared to what the UA had. I hope that design comes back somehow.

A group of players has requested a mystery/detective game in the Oz setting. I have the Andrew Kolb book and ran a more traditional adventure before. Any recommendation for a system and an alternate lore book? I’d prefer to keep using my Kolb book but don’t want mysteries solved with Detect...

For me the future of RPGs is the groups I play with agreeing to play new campaigns when the current ones are done. Even switching systems if I'm lucky.

Could you cite some examples in terms of Kobold Press? I’m using their products but I’m not seeing better quality. I experience issues with layout and balancing in particular.

Civ 7: Released 6 months too early but I like the core tile puzzle and everything else is getting better with patches. BG3: Still in Act 1 but loving it. TMNT Shredder’s Revenge: Play this coop with my youngest and happy memories are being made. I’m looking forward to the Marvel Cosmic Invasion.

I’m not that well versed in solo play but I assume that can be achieved for these adventures by using something like Mythic? With this being a new era for D&D it’s my hope that they start mixing in more styles and influences; especially with 3rd party products being sold on DnD Beyond.
