The character in that image doesn’t give me the feel of a cartographer. I wonder if they had something else in mind? Regardless I really like the subclass!
I don’t think I’m qualified to rate anything a classic or not but the 5e adventure I’ve had the most fun running is The Sunken Citadel conversion for 5e out of Tales from the Yawning Portal.
Switching alignment every night doesn’t sound workable so they may go back further in time when the phase shifts took longer or give the DM some lore reason to decide when switches happen.
I really do hope “throw everything at the wall and see what sticks” happens. Weren’t The Thing and Alien attempts at reproducing the success of Star Wars?
So Barbarian, Monk, Druid and Warlock lose out. I wonder if they will be represented in the unannounced book? If it is Magic the Gathering related which setting would be a fit for those classes?
Is the D&D cook book not one of their best sellers? The obvious answer here is a Delicious in Dungeon collaboration or their own take on that if the licensing isn't possible.
In the image with all of the artificers they have a Battlesmith, Alchemist, Armorer and Artillerist depicted but the 4th character out of 5 is different. Does that represent the base class or does it hint at an unrevealed subclass?
