Pathfinder 1E Anyone else excited about the Pathfinder MMO?

Heh! I did the same thing! And I'm not that excited about the MMO either! I started at $75, but then they threw in the flip mats, I couldn't resist...

Pathfinder 1E Anyone else excited about the Pathfinder MMO?

Looks like the Pathfinder MMO kickstarter pulled in $307,843. Pretty impressive. Though I suspect a good number of folks contributing were more in it for the signed book. Well - at least that is why I threw some money at it!

Pathfinder 1E Running Pathfinder beyond the Beginner Box

Retraining is a great way to keep someone from working themselves into a corner due to a poor choice. To me it is more option overload. I found playing more enjoyable with just the core and APG. Yeah - I tended to prep the APs by going through, making a few notes and ready to go. Yeah - I...

Pathfinder 1E Running Pathfinder beyond the Beginner Box

Stick with Paizo Pathfinder materials. If you are concerned with rule and option inundation I would consider just using the core rulebook and probably the APG. I really enjoyed my Pathfinder time with just those two books as resources. The Ultimate books while cool, just sort of drift into too...

Pathfinder 1E Anyone else excited about the Pathfinder MMO?

I ended up backing the Kickstarter. Thornhold sounds sort of cool and there is an option to get an autographed copy, including Ed Greenwood's signature. Sort of funny backing a kickstarter less for the electronic demo perspective and more for the perk!

iPad size requirements - i.e. which model to get

I also agree the 32GB seems to be the sweet spot, though I could get by with a 16GB pretty easily too. On my Gen 1 which I use a lot for gaming PDFs and such I am only using 5.4GB of my 32GB. I don't keep any videos on it, a handful of podcasts, etc.

    [LPF] Ties that Bind

Fulgrim grows more accustomed to being on the water as the days go by, though the ale may have helped with that. With the vessle reaching the shore, the city plain in view, Fulgrim extends a hand to Captain Renlow "Tis a pleasure good dwarf! Fulgrim says "If travelin' on water is da only...

D&D 5E (2014) Ed Greenwood to write 5E's Forgotten Realms

Should be fun to see what comes out of this! It will be good to see Ed back to having a hand in the Realms.

D&D 5E (2014) Ed Greenwood to write 5E's Forgotten Realms

Yeah, I even do this now when I run a game in the Realms. Choose my spot in the timeline and drop my campaign in there.

D&D 5E (2014) Ed Greenwood to write 5E's Forgotten Realms

Yeah, I am usually able to work in the niches of the Realms pretty easily when I run games there. The high-level NPCs rarely come to play or are certainly far from focus of the story.

    [LPF] Ties that Bind

Fulgrim wipes his mouth and beard with the back of his arm, his complexion still just a little pale, though the color does appear to be returning. "I'll be fine." he says with a hint of embarassment in his voice. Overhearing the talk of dwarven ale, he perks up a bit and continues "Some more 'o...

Book of the River Nations Sells its 2500th Copy!

Awesome! Congrats on the milestone. I know it seemed a pretty popular supplement over on the Paizo Kingmaker forums.

GM Confessional: I fudged like a Banshee (just not on the dice rolls)

Sounds more like winging it, but in either case - yeah, I rarely use fully stated out NPCs. For so many of them it just doesn't matter. If something does come up that requires needing stats it is easy enough to approximate it. It definitely makes game prep a little easier. Now what I *need* to...

    [LPF] Ties that Bind

Fulgrim's beard is drenched with water, his eyes wide as he rushes to the rail of the ship, hanging his head over the rail as he retches over the side. He spends a moment steadying himself on the rail before turning, a little paler to the others "Me, not likin' dis way 'o travel!" Fulgrim states.

    PFS #41: Crypt of Fools

With the former slaves dismissed the hurriedly head for the steps that lead up to the city proper above. The last band on the fountain is aligned and with a final audible click the tumblers lock into place. Suddenly, the fountain begins to rotate and its stale waters drain rapidly. The grinding...

    Bounded Accuracy L&L

They say it *might* still be a challenge. So if you have a party who did nothing along the way to improve their strength then yes, breaking the door down might still be a challenge. Why should a non-strong character in a party be able to break the door down? Just because they are 20th level...

    PFS #41: Crypt of Fools

The freed slaves cast furtive glances to the stairs up, anxious to be out from underneath the city. One woman steps forward to answer questions. "Most of us were taken within this past week. I myself was a city planner." the woman replies. "I believe they were leading us down to see someone...

    Bounded Accuracy L&L

I am not real sure how we became fixated on a wooden door. But it seems a mountain is being made out of a molehill. If you as DM have a party of 20th level characters encounter a simple wooden door - just make it an automatic success or something. There is no need for it to be a challenge. Why...

Is Wizards' team also reading this?

I would definitely complete the surveys as you receive them, but I am sure they are spot checking these forums as well. They just can't guarantee they will have the time to keep up with all the threads, so it makes more sense for them to say the surveys and their own forums are the primary place...
