    Online Play Now Allowed

There is a thread here as well from last night: http://www.enworld.org/forum/new-horizons-upcoming-edition-d-d/324485-attention-you-can-now-run-d-d-next-games-here-enws-play-post-skype-g-hangouts.html I think it is what many of assumed, but it was still prohibiting online play. Glad to see...

Attention! You can now run D&D Next games here at ENW's PbP, on Skype, & G+ hangouts

I readily admit that I thought WotC not nimble enough to fix this in a timely fashion. I am pleasantly surprised to see that I was wrong and am already working on pulling together an online game over Google Hangouts in the near future.

So awesome! Just saw this come across Twitter a few minutes ago. Can't wait! Already working on getting an online session setup with some friends next week! Really glad to see their position change on this.

    Bounded Accuracy L&L

The AC I can get, as when it is sky high, lower level things don't even stand a chance of hitting it or to hit it requires magic and magic gained at an expected level. But HP? Why don't attacks matter as HP get high? The way I am reading it, the HP goes up for "higher level critters" and the...

    PFS #41: Crypt of Fools

Isandra follows Kronk who heads back up the steps and spends some time studying the lock at the surface entrance and then the pair returns to the fountain, with one last remaining band to slide into place. As Kronk works on aligning the band, Kalenth. The mites had little of interest. The derro...

    [LPF] Ties that Bind

Fulgrim returns a puzzled look to Eanos, "Sweet talk? Captin'? Fulgrim replies the doubt obvious in his voice. "I'll keep dat in mind fer the future. Sweet talkin'. Hhhhmmppphhh.

The Ogre Killed the Dwarf in 3 Rounds

This sounds about perfect to me. The Dwarf had two rounds to figure something else out or for his party to help him out of his predicament. And what was the wizard still doing around for two rounds after watching the dwarf get pummeled? Sometimes it is best to run. Really though, this seems...

D&D is not a supers game.

That addresses durability. There is still the question of whether some of the "powers" at first level or at-will magic that is considered a little strong would be at first level.

    Bounded Accuracy L&L

This is an interesting concept and it looks quite promising. Anxious to see how some of the higher level play looks now!

Magic Vs AC is Very Poor Reasoning

Valid points. Buffs could cause you to recall the touch AC rules more frequently and recalc on the fly. I did not find it a major problem, but I can see why it annoyed some people.

D&D is not a supers game.

This has always seemed the solution to me. Don't like a 1st level character's competence? Then start at 3rd, 4th, or 5th. Or whatever level has the power band you like.

Magic Vs AC is Very Poor Reasoning

Touch never really needed to be calculated at the table though. It was usually noted on the character sheet and was only fiddled with at character creation and adjusted as new items were acquired. So play was usually, "What's your touch AC?" which was a spot on the character sheet. Not much...

D&D is not a supers game.

I think it is very dependent on the group playing. Some want to unwind after a long day of work or school and play fully competent characters right out of the gate with minimal chance of their character meeting an untimely demise. Other groups want their games a little grittier in those early...

    Rules for Cars?

I have not used these rules, but there is The Modern Path: Heroes of the Modern World 2.0 (PFRPG) which have modern vehicles in it. It has a table of modern vehicles with things like Cost, AC, Hardness, Hit Points, Base Save, Max Speed, CMB/CMD, etc. Then for actual combat it refers you to the...

The "Welcome Newbies" stickie to show you where to get started.

Covered in another thread I think, but SK built us a cool wiki page that automates the tracking a bit on the wiki: Adventures - Living Pathfinder RPG Wiki

Review of Dungeon Crawl Classics RPG by Goodman Games

There is this one: http://www.enworld.org/forum/general-rpg-discussion/321008-dcc-rpg-i-have-pdf-finished-rules-i-m-glad-i-do.html I suspect we will see a few more pop up in the coming month or so. I keep seeing more and more people getting the game and saying positive things about it on...

Song of the Serpent by Hugh Matthews. It is the second most recent release in the Pathfinder Tales line. It has been an enjoyable read so far.

    An open letter to WoTC

All they have gained is disenfranchising their own customers and losing income. Meanwhile, pirated PDFs are still out there for consumption. As for crying foul and armchair quarterbacking dig. It is a discussion forum here. We come here to discuss things - some negative and some positive. Not...

Still one make-or-break issue for me...

If they go with the more open model as opposed to just releasing a PDF, then there will likely be sites like the d20srd or s20pfsrd. I can do rule lookups very quickly there and from a multitude of devices.
