I can't put my finger on it exactly at this point, but I think for me this playtest packet took a step backwards. Need to read some more and see if I can put my finger on it. I think the first playtest seemed nice and simple to me. This one, not so much.

This would help alleviate some of my dislike in this second playtest.

Yep! As a GM I loved that battle! Helped make up for all the easy encounters during exploration! I really enjoyed the final book in that series as a GM. Along the way I feel I had done a good job of foreshadowing it, so book 6 didn't seem as far out of left field as some complained on the Paizo...

The group stands near the doors to the great crypt ahead, taking in all sights and sounds as they cautiously watch. The portion of the crypt you have moved through remains quiet, only the door ahead of you.

While iTunes is not great, I almost never have to use it. I used it to setup the iPad initially (not even sure you have to do that with the new generation iPads as I think they were trying to remove that step) and have probably only connected it back to that PC a handful of times in over a year...
