I think where use it or lose it would come into play more would be for infringement cases. I think they need to actively prove they are using it in order to stop infringement beyond a certain period, maybe the second or third renewal.

#Dannyalcatraz - I think the biggest points of that proposal and touched on already is the time limits. Hell let Disney keep their rodent in perpetuation for all eternity, but I think it should cost them every year they do.

Many of GW's practices have made me mad in the past which is part of the reason I refuse to play their games. This latest bit reminds me though of White Wolf's suit over the one vampire movie a few years back, claiming all kinds of infringement on stuff that way outdated Vampire: The Masquerade.

A tenth anniversary seems a good time to relaunch interest in the franchise as well as a second edition of the RPG. It will be interesting to see what gets revealed. Just wish they would give a time frame so we can keep an eye out for the announcement.
