As a DM, it has to be Tom Lumpyface from a Middle Earth campaign I ran for @TheSword and three others. Tom was a Breelander who the PCs rescued (with others) from an orc attack, but he later got to a nearby settlement ahead of the PCs and successfully claimed all the credit for the battle...
