Your wish list of modules you'd want to play in/run

Three players so six characters. We played the Pathfinder version, and the system was getting somewhat bloated, allowing the more powergaming player to combine some obscure feats. I can’t really remember the details but he created a nigh invincible monk.

Your wish list of modules you'd want to play in/run

Sounds great! It was a few years back, but our DM allowed us two characters each ( I had a half-orc cavalier and a tiefling bard) but we still got battered. “ Luckily,” one of the players was a power-gamer and his characters were so well-designed (aka broken) that we managed to get through, just!

Your wish list of modules you'd want to play in/run

Slumbering Tsar; bit of a forgotten gem (IMHO) in the pantheon of excellent adventures. I've never run it, but I enjoyed exploring the wild lands surrounding the dungeon, which were pretty brutal!

Your wish list of modules you'd want to play in/run

All my playing Christmases have come at once, thanks to @TheSword : he's currently running Enemy Within for our online group, and we're about 3/4 through this legendary campaign. He's already stated that, after finishing, he will run Masks of Nyarlathotep for us. It gets better; in out monthly...

    D&D General Best dungeons?

I love Forge of Fury, and have run it at least four times with different groups. Rappan Athuk is, rightly IMO, something of a legend; it's huge, deadly and fun. Both Caverns of Thracia and Dark Tower are masterpieces of early dungeon design. I'm looking forward to running the latter in my next...

D&D General Who was your first character, and do you still play them?

“Clarion caller eaten by carrion crawler” would be a great lament to be sung by a subsequent bard character!

D&D General Who was your first character, and do you still play them?

Late 1976; Aelric the Fighter braved the dungeon, rising as high as level 3 before falling in battle against an orc tribe. Never forgotten (by me at least!).

D&D General Dark Sun as a Hopepunk Setting

Wow!!!! This is stunningly good! Thank you, @Gradine for sharing your talent and imagination with us all.

D&D General [Humor] Things You Hate About 7E

I do admire 7e's decision to respect all true Grognards by starting every single sentence in the books with the words, "Gentle reader."

D&D General [Humor] Things You Hate About 7E

Why, oh why did they have to remove owlbears from the MM? Sure, it was a little awkward when the AI-generated, life-printed owlbear got loose at the “Mutantz & Mysogonistz” attempted relaunch rally and ate Musk and LaNasa, but that hardly justifies replacing them with owlbards in the new edition.

D&D General Dark Sun as a Hopepunk Setting

I'd definitely be up for buying, DM-ing and playing in a Hopepunk update of Dark Sun by @Steampunkette , albeit with ONE condition; as a UK gamer, I cant seriously think of any character named Borys (or any spelling thereof) as anything but a corrupt, incompetent and dishonest buffoon.

Elon Musk Calls for Wizards of the Coast to "Burn in Hell" Over Making of Original D&D Passages

If Muskrat ever did play D&D, I reckon he played a worm that crawled up the backside of the Orange of Coot.

TSR The Full & Glorious History of NuTSR

@Steampunkette The Ghosts of TSR people seem pretty foul, and they’ve probably been emboldened by wider events in the USA. But Hate always loses in the end.

    AD&D 1E Old Timers: Remember G1-2-3, D1-D2, D3, and Q1?

Personally, I'd go for "Tangled Web of the Demon Queen", but whatever you choose your players are in for a blast! I've run the whole thing twice for different parties, as well as running the Giant threesome on several occasions, and my grandkids and wife will be entering Nosnra's Steading next...

D&D 5E (2014) Best Third Party (not WotC) D&D Adventures?

I really enjoyed running Scarlet Citadel by Kobolds, and I’m looking forward to being a player in Drakkenheim fairly soon

D&D General Where's the safest place to live in the World of Greyhawk?

I come from Niole Dra, and loads happens there! Farmer Apricot punched one of the judges at last year's marrow-judging contest, and the Widow Vinegar's dog bit one of Hamo Stare's boys just last week. And we had a hailstorm. It's just non-stop danger in Niole Dra nowadays! In fact, I'm thinking...

    Dragon Reflections #81

I often wondered what the white-furred beastie on the cover was? It looks pretty large and vicious!

    D&D 5E (2014) Favorite 3rd party Adventure Anthology book?

Interesting thread. Grendleroot looks excellent. Anyone have experience of the Chaos Wastes anthology by Kobold Press (I think)?

D&D General We need a kill Bargle adventure path

The chance to defeat Bargle would be great! Of course, encountering Gutboy Barrelhouse in the same adventure, would be even better.

WFRP 4e - Year of Splendors Burning - Waterdeep-Heist-Mad-Mage-Golden-Vault-Crimson-Throne-Shattered-Obelisk Mashup

Awesome stuff! I’m lucky enough to have played in games run by @TheSword for over twenty years now. He is a brilliant DM!
