Goodman Games Announced the Indie RPG Creator Summit; Featured Presenters Share Something In Common

I have my opinion, as a Black man who got tired of being called slurs on Twitter; you have your opinion. I’m not sure why you feel the need to correct my opinion, based on my experience, that Twitter is poison and that everyone would be better off it just disappeared. This is my opinion. It...

Goodman Games Announced the Indie RPG Creator Summit; Featured Presenters Share Something In Common

I got a lot of death threats for simply existing when I was active on Twitter, so I completely, and totally, feel justified in saying that Twitter sucks, that people who spend too much time on Twitter tend to be awful, and feel no need to consider the feelings of others who haven’t been told to...

    Disney's disastrous year

There is way too much Elon Musk talk in this thread, and it is gross.

    Disney's disastrous year

In my household we watched more Disney content this year than any year prior, cause my kids are at the perfect Disney age.

Worlds of Design: Reassessing Tolkien’s Influence

The One Ring is very good, but the 5e version will be getting play on my table. It’s simply a lot of fun, cause it breaks down a certain type of Dnd to its most basic essence. I think the original article above captures that well. Also, to the person who says nobody plays gnomes—statistically...

If I could figure out how to make push in theatre of the mind roleplaying as effective as it is in BG3, I’d be in the money

What is the largest animal that you think you could beat in a fight?

Mayyyyyybe a baby chimp. Unless it has teeth and beats your initiative roll and gets that bite attack in.

What is the largest animal that you think you could beat in a fight?

I’ve had to beat down a pretty big pitbull attacking my dog. It wasn’t fun or pretty, but I did what had to be done. I’m pretty sure if I got the first punch in I could take on a shark. But without that first punch, I’m done. No human could take on a chimp and live. We simply can’t...

All my games are, at the basest level, set in the Realms. You can basically do anything there.

Adventure Time TTRPG Drops "Yes And" System, Switches To 5E

I would put money on the table to bet that there are far more people who spend money on rpgs who are fans of Monty Python than Adventure Time, especially the type of money that doesn’t care what system is used. I like those odds haha. Anyway, this is a silly conversation to have, no?

What Is Your Favorite Campaign Setting?

First Forgotten Realms book I read was Faiths and Avatars as a preteen and it is smeltered into my brain as being amazing. Soooo, I don’t mind the ToT stuff as much. 3.5 also had some good books, no?

Time to vote for BG3 for the Game Awards, which is in December

Bandwagon, rig, potato potato. We don’t need a call to arms to ensure that BG3 wins—in my opinion, that’s silly. Arguing over word choice written predawn is silly too.

Time to vote for BG3 for the Game Awards, which is in December

No way. BG3 was great, but Phantom Liberty had a better story and Tears of the Kingdom was a gameplay masterpiece. There is no major nerd credit attached to BG3 winning these awards that we therefore need to band together to rig the vote.
