People don’t seem to get that this is an “unpopular opinion” thread, and then get angry and offended when people share their unpopular opinion.
But I digress, you sound like a child when you call a book a “dead tree edition.” It’s a book. You aren’t being cool. You aren’t being funny. Irony...
Calling a paperback or hardback book the “dead tree edition” infantilizes you as a person.
It immediately causes you to be written off as an unserious individual.
Dwarves are awesome, and when WoTC isn’t too busy neutering their coolest sub races, really have a lot of potential to tell good stories as characters. WFRP has the best Dwarfs.
Your arrogance here is astounding and incredibly off putting. You do not need to act this way, even though it is an anonymous forum. Let people like what they like.
People fighting over a game they will never play will always get a pop out of me.
But you see, I’m the genius here. I’m not going to fight about it, I’m just going to buy it, admire the art, read the lore, and never play it. Expert level move.

Huge DCC sale.
I think we shouldn’t over think a game that is basically a violence simulation and let there be a species of cool Vikings of the Underdark, like the Duerger are presented in BG3.
One thing I hope changes is that somehow Duergar will be made wicked cool again, the ravagers of the Underdark like they are in BG3, as opposed to the boring, frankly banal version we were presented in Monsters of the Multiverse.
Cool, thx mate for the heads up, I’ll check it out. I love the Tome of Beasts books, and the Race books Kobold Press have put out (their take on the Drow is awesome.) Haven’t checked out ToV yet, so now I will!
I am a solid maybe. I’m going to wait until reviews hit. I recently picked up Monsters of the Multiverse because it was on deep sale on Amazon, and I was real surprised at how neutered the lore was for so many species, to the point of neutering some and making utterly boring others. If the new...
Chill dude, it isn’t even directed at you, unless you’re going to admit you’re being a bad actor here. It’s a free market tie in. Since you came directly at me, I’ll respond to you: you are getting really upset that some people seem to pleasantly ok with it, to the point you were writing all...
I read campaign settings for fun, settings I will most likely never play, so I get it. I just don’t want to waste my time on something that’s a bit too much on the nose, which my experience with Critical Roll has been. But you do make Wildemount sound interesting, at least.
Once I finish...
Interesting, I didn’t realize it was connected to Critical Roll, of which I am not a fan. That doesn’t matter though, if the material contained in the book is good. I’m a huge fan of Kobold Press’ Midgard, so maybe I’d like this too for similar reasons.
