WotC Mike Mearls: "I Was Not Fired From D&D"

Seeing how relentlessly bullied this guy was by hypocrites on twitter and Reddit, no wonder he wanted to get off social media and be reassigned to magic.

How likely are you to use D&D for your next game?

Tales of the Valiant, DCC, Mothership, and Call of Cthulhu is what we’re using to tell our stories lately.

D&D General 2025 Rakshasa has a great stat block

A really good bad guy that can be used in a lot of creative ways. Love getting them on my table.

D&D General Drow & Orcs Removed from the Monster Manual

Of course I’m not, cause it’s absolutely blatant. You insulted me and impugned my understanding of my own culture. Again, perhaps you should take a step back and understand why I and others would be deeply upset here.

D&D General Drow & Orcs Removed from the Monster Manual

I’ll delete my comment then, cause as a Black Mexican, cause clearly I’m in the wrong here You really didn’t need to insult me this deeply and personally. Maybe take a step back?

D&D General Drow & Orcs Removed from the Monster Manual

Deleting my comment because it led to me being personally attacked. I’m actually pretty upset about it.

WotC Mike Mearls: "D&D Is Uncool Again"

Cool. It’s still incredibly lame. Hope you enjoy it though, it’s not for me. I’m not going to argue with a stranger on the internet about our differing opinions.

WotC Mike Mearls: "D&D Is Uncool Again"

Cool? Like I don’t know how to respond to this. I’m glad you have your opinion and I have mine?

WotC Mike Mearls: "D&D Is Uncool Again"

So BG3 is a bit too horny for my tastes, but it is unabashedly nerdy cool. D&D 2024 has none of the charm, none of the pizzazz, heck, absolutely NONE of the edge that that game has. Hasbro/WoTC have made D&D soulless, and yes I sound like I’m on repeat here, but i am understandably bothered by...

WotC Mike Mearls: "D&D Is Uncool Again"

DnD has become incredibly lame under Hasbro /WoTC, it isn’t really debatable. D&D 2024 so far is a huge disappointment to me and my players, and I’m the only one at my tables that one could call old school / hardcore. It’s just so banal; all the distinct character from it has been drained for...

Monsters & More: An In-Depth Review of the 2025 D&D Monster Manual

Strikes me as the only worthwhile D&D 2024 book worth buying.

    Star Trek: Section 31

It’s terrible. Honest to god terrible.

    D&D 5E (2024) Have You Pre-Ordered The 2024 MM?

I won’t be buying it, I’ll just use what Kobold Press puts out. There’s a quality with Kobold that I can depend upon.

D&D 5E (2024) DMG 2024: Is The Sandbox Campaign Dead?

Did you miss the part where I explicitly wrote, “to me at least?” You don’t need to jump to defend the honor of a billion dollar company just cuz some guy thinks D&D 2024 kinda sucks.

D&D 5E (2024) DMG 2024: Is The Sandbox Campaign Dead?

This is a good post, simply as it is another useful reminder (to me at least) that Hasbro is a terrible tender of the garden that is D&D, and that I saved some money completely skipping this book.

    D&D 5E (2024) Polygon takes shots at WotC & D&D

Hmm, Polygon sucks but so does WotC, I feel confused and don’t know how to respond.

Polygon: Indie TTRPG Companies are "sitting in their own little corners of the internet and wringing their hands"

I, for one, am perfectly happy to point out that Polygon sucks. In the next two months I’m planning to run Tales of the Valient, Mothership, and DCC. Sure, these folks aren’t making Hasbro money, but they’re putting out quality products for people who will pay for them.

ToV Sell Me on Tales of the Valiant

ToV’s Gamemaster book really is exceptional. It’s right up there with Mothership’s Warden Guide as best gm guides ever published. Phenomenal book.

D&D General The New York Times on D&D

I do? What a bizarre comment. Of course they’re niche compared to wotc. There’s something naive in the comments here that just assumes everyone agrees with them.

D&D General The New York Times on D&D

Niche companies produce niche products for select demographics who make it a point of order to ignore voices or critique that makes them uncomfortable. This isn’t surprising, nor is it surprising that nearly nobody cared.
