    Can a human do this?

If your order of character creation stands, what happens if the human doesn't take a multiclass feat? Does it mean that, at the point when he's choosing his extra human At-Will, doesn't have any At-Wills to choose from, because the base class hasn't been chosen yet? Does it mean that single...

Dragon 370 - Riven Justice: The Mercykillers

And makes a fitting contrast to the tieflings' Bloodhunt. Any guesses about stats? Str and Cha? Wis and Cha?

    Adventurer's Vault masterwork armours

That sounds like most magic items in 4E, no? Rarity reflected through the fact that you have to find it as loot or go on quests isn't really rarity in D&D, considering that the focus of the game is going on quests and looting. And anyway, I don't think that in a game like D&D, rarity is a valid...

    Adventurer's Vault masterwork armours

Quite right. I saw armours that were strictly better than the PHB ones, and it seemed like simply blatant power creep to, but it really does fit the same curve. The fact that it took the writers another book to figure out that a 6-point curve could be smoother than 0, 0, 0, 0, 3, 6 does agree...

    Adventurer's Vault masterwork armours

What with all the talk about how double swords are broken, I only just now noticed the new masterwork armours. While I like the idea behind the ones where there's some sort of tradeoff (snakeskin leather +4 for +6 AC and +2 Ref, or feyleather +4 for +7 AC?), I'm not sure what's the reasoning...

    What is missing from 4E

And they would in 3E? A fighter without a healer to back him up? A rogue without someone to flank with? A bard without a party to buff? It isn't? If you think that fantasy heroics are about loners being awesome rather than teamwork to bring about the awesome, aren't you betraying that conceit...

[4E] Dark Heart of Mithrendain tips?

Did anybody run (or play) this adventure? I'm looking for something to use as filler when we can't get our usual Keep on the Shadowfell game going, and this seems interesting because it focuses on the Feywild, eladrin and evil fey, which are all among the more interesting parts of 4E's implied...

When you have a power contingent on an enemy moving...

Page 285. But to me it doesn't appear to be referencing cases like this, just noting the fact that forced movement doesn't use up your movement:

When you have a power contingent on an enemy moving...

So you're saying you could have something like this: You hit enemy with Booming Blade. Enemy starts his turn adjacent and moves away, takes extra damage. You close in. Enemy starts his turn adjacent and doesn't move away. But your fighter pushes him away, and he takes extra damage. You close...

The final room in Tomb of the Sand King's Daughter

I've only quickly skimmed through the adventure so I might be just missing it, but how high is the final chamber (19. Inner Sanctum)?

    Is tactical Warlord really blowful?

In a pick up game I recently played 6th-level eladrin tactical warlord in a party with a dwarf battlerager, a battle cleric, and a beastmaster ranger. We did kind of suck against flying opponents, but otherwise we were so awesome that the rest of the players convinced me to switch my swordmage...

When you have a power contingent on an enemy moving...

Including walking, running, flying, shifting, but not being pushed, pulled or slid? Or did you have some other definition in mind?

When you have a power contingent on an enemy moving...

Gah. For some reason, I thought DracoSuave was talking about Tide of Iron (even though he said Shield Push, and even though I know Tide of Iron is called Tide of Iron). :o

When you have a power contingent on an enemy moving...

Excluding even shifts would make Booming Blade terribly limited, but it was exactly this kind of reasoning that ultimately led me to ask my original question. See, I wanted to make sure whether it would work on shifts, but when I looked at the list of actions in combat in the PHB, there...

When you have a power contingent on an enemy moving...

The fighter's mark lets the fighter make a basic attack, not an At-Will (not even an opportunity attack, so Heavy Blade Opportunity won't help). The fighter could just read Tide of Iron, though... :)

When you have a power contingent on an enemy moving...

Of course, I don't really see how it could be read otherwise. An ally could ready an action to push/pull/slide the enemy on the enemy's turn. It might not be common, since in 4E readied actions are reactions rather than interrupts and you won't always be willing to let the enemy act before you...

When you have a power contingent on an enemy moving...

The specific power on my mind is Booming Blade, swordmage At-Will: the enemy takes damage if it (quote) "is adjacent to you at the start of its turn and moves away".
