Renegade Game Studios Takes Over World of Darkness

I think your history is challenged. I played all the editions of Vampire: The Masquerade, and while Vampire Revised and V20 (both of which were developed primarily by Justin Achilli) were not my favourite editions, they both had the impact of broadening the scope of the game from the original...

Renegade Game Studios Takes Over World of Darkness

Well considering the (unconfirmed) rumors about Hasbro wanting to sell WotC, I think the connection is more the other way. Both Hasbro and Paradox want an interested third party business to run their RPGs, while they themselves can focus on using their brands for more lucrative projects like...

Renegade Game Studios Takes Over World of Darkness

Yep. Picked up my copy too. They definitely did the smart thing regarding the Ravnos - they are just the Clan of tricksters now, akin to Loki or other archetypes of that sort. I expect quite a few people will find them fun to play. I’d also note that while they also included the Salubri Clan -...

With Brexit coming into effect in 2021, don’t be surprised if the costs of buying from the UK goes up from where it is now.... And, nope, that wasn’t a political statement, just an awareness of how pricing can change.

Nominate your MOST ANTICIPATED RPG of 2021

Well, if we are not sure then how can we speculate either way? I’m not in the know, but there has been a development blog of some sort, and people who have followed it say that the books themselves are nearing completion and that would imply a quick turnaround from when the Kickstarter gets...

Nominate your MOST ANTICIPATED RPG of 2021

All good. I’ve been requesting a stand-alone edition of this setting for a few years now. Apparently they are waiting on new material from Bryan Talbot, and they have renewed the license in order to make it so. Not totally sure on the dates again, but I can hope before then end of 2021 at least...

Not sure. The Kickstarter sign up is on - the rest of the details I’m not sure if they’ve been announced or not. Do you have more info? I mean the 'Silver Anniversary Edition’ implies it is coming out soon.

Worlds of Design: How Long Should Your Rulebook Be?

Please, please, please could game designers revert back to making more reasonably sized rulebooks. 500 pages is a whopping textbook. 600, 700+ pages is ridiculous.

The Dune RPG Has A Cover!

The last attempt at doing a Dune RPG - Dune: Chronicles of the Imperium by Last Unicorn Games (2000) - was released to coincide with Brian Herbert's prequels and, indeed, had a Forward written by Brian Herbert. It was a very limited release though.

Check Out The First Dune RPG Art Preview

There is meant to be some sort of rules preview quickstarter type of thing coming out when the pre-orders open (in December). We aren’t actually supposed to be discussing the rules publicly before then. The rules variances are basically about tailoring the game to the setting and mode of play...
