So that publishers that worry the files will be shared across the web will have their hands held and be assured that everything will be okay. Watermarking means nothing and does nothing. Stripping the watermark from a PDF is simple for just about anyone that investigates the entire process.

From what I can tell this is aimed more at publishers than anyone else. With that in mind, this is a good deal.

And if PayPal is ever hacked into and the information shared it's going to be a huge deal. Top of the hour, major news sort of deal. It's just safer for publishers like me to let PayPal handle all of that. Sure they take a cut of sales but they're performing a vital service for their percentage.

I can't be hacked if all of the credit card processing is done by PayPal (which it is). The CC# is never entered at my site.

Check around. A lot of publishers (including Ronin Arts) have their own PDF stores now. I know that my own Ronin Arts store never sees your credit card information. There was a thread somewhere here that listed publishers with their own PDF stores. If I can find it I'll give you the link.

I have a BoA account (several, actually) and they do this.
