I paid the cost to license/use the artwork, and I include the artist's appropriate legal designation in the material. (Also, in this particular instance, the artist shared my project on Facebook with his friends, so I think I'm all good.)

I'd say the majority of creators working in the RPG field love what they do on most days. Every single creator is human, though, and will have good days and bad days. If they didn't love working in this industry, then they would do everything possible to find work in a field that pays better.

I'm thinking that would be part of the test. What happens if I do zero active promotion? No social media posts at all. No emails. Just allow the platforms to function on their own? I am 100% certain Kickstarter would perform the best, but I am curious about how things would work out overall.
