    D&D 5E (2014) New L&L When Adventurers Aren’t Adventuring

Sounds very good. Reminds me kind of the Fellowship Phase from The One Ring rpg from Cubicle 7.

Planescape Do You Care About Planescape Lore?

I had played probably my best rpg moments in Planescape settings. I know that if there wasn't Planescape i wouldn't be here now. I will not boast about the merits of Planescape, i am sure many ppl did it, however it is one of the first things i check/anticipate when i new edition comes out (that...

    D&D 5E (2014) 28/1/13 L&L D&DNext goals part Four

One thing that worries me is that if all these good modules will be supported. Will the Damage Reduction of the armors work with the published adventures and setting? The gritty healing mechanics? The tactical combats? If not the usefulness will be reduced significally...

    D&D 5E (2014) Resting and Healing in D&D Next

Other: I played the test with Core+slower. It is not gritty enough for our taste. We prefer something like 3e or a resting - healing rate of that pace

    D&D 5E (2014) Cosmetic Changes You'd Like to See

I would love more "art-themed" rpg books/projects like Diterlizzi did for Planescape and Brom did for Dark Sun

The One Ring - Cubicle 7

Thank you very much for your replies. Your answers are really helpful. Is it easy to convert/make new npc/monsters with the rules of The One Ring? I would like to know i can take advantage the great detail and richness of information that the merp sourcebooks have.

The One Ring - Cubicle 7

There is a time since the last post but i have a question. How can compare it with Ice Crown's Merp. Seeing for for a 2nd time the Hobbit today sparked to me a wave of nostalgia of my first rpg which was MEPR. I was thinking to start a middle earth campaign and wondering which system to follow...

    D&D 5E (2014) Crits - Damage plus effect?

Critical tables was one of the coolest features. Actually i still use these charts to my session. They are too fun to abandon them. :)

Name ONE favourite thing about your favourite edition

2e for the rich and beautiful settings. While i am playing with the 3rd or 4th edition rules now, the fluff of the settings still consists a source of inspiration in my games.

    Expertise Dice

This remark/complain has to do with the feats and their role in the game. From the 1st playtest during the last we saw the changing of this role. At the start (1st playtest) feats were something more general, more loose and grand than the previous editions. In the last playtest this thing...

    D&D 5E (2014) Maybe I'm just tired?

My biggest fear is that i will not be able to play my game the way i like. I like the pace and the feeling of a 2e and 3e edition game. The fragile “power level” of the 1st lvl characters and the route they have to take to become heroes. The course and the strategy that the heroes have to take...

    Here Comes . . . the Monk!

I am the only one who found the monk un-interesting? It isn't bad, it has all the things that you expect, but in the end there isn't anything in it to inspire you. All the other classes in the course of the playtests had something (for me at least) that made you say "mmm...i like this aspect, i...

2nd edition world builder's guidebook is an excellent world building book and i highly recommend it.

    D&D 5E (2014) Healing after 29 Oct playtest

While always hps were an abstraction i have different feeling of healing in the games of 3e and different when i play at 4e. The "lower" healing spikes, the fewer recharges (no short rests) and the fewer hps of the pcs of 3rd (actually all the editions before 4th) give the game a distinct...

    D&D 5E (2014) Healing after 29 Oct playtest

In this issue I agree with you. I fail to see why the ppl want less choices. From when pluralism is a bad thing. Probably they consider that this their precious game and can't accept the other ppl that have different opinion.

    D&D 5E (2014) Healing after 29 Oct playtest

I don't think anyone is against options regarding healing (at least in this thread). I think more option the better. The problem starts if YOUR option isn't in the game.

    D&D 5E (2014) Healing after 29 Oct playtest

Healing seems to be a great issue in DnD Next. As many have stated (including devs and players) has to do with the pace of the game and the combat mechanics (how easy or not to hit, how strong or weak are the monsters etc.) What is your feelings of the new - experimental (and old) rules? I...

    Must have book per edition

From 2e i would choose many planescape books as first choice (blood war, law, chaos, neutral box sets, etc) and combat and tactics (i still use the critical tables) :P From 3e Oriental adventures. It is another ph. Great book! From 4e... tough question, since i don't like much the version. I...
