    Blog: Resilient Heroes

I am aware of that fact, but i think we both know exactly what i meant in my previous post. In any way i am talking about a specific way of playing that is more lethal, more gritty and a game system that offers me more freedom to built the kind of game that i want. In 2e i had this feeling...

    Blog: Resilient Heroes

As a previous poster said i think this article is very relevant with the departure of Monte. I suspect that the healing surge subject - which is very popular game feature at least in the wizards's forums - would find more support to the 4e funs, being ultimetly a goodwill gesture to them saying...

D&D 5E (2014) Monte Cook Leaves WotC - No Longer working on D&D Next [updated]

Now i see what wizard meant about unifing all the dnd player's. They are gonna produce all the previous editions so all the players will gonna buy their favorite edition and then the company gonna produce the 5e which will be the continuity of the 4e. :P /bad sarcasm off

Blog: Background and Themes a closer look.

You know, the thing that i would prefer more would be that even if you choose your own thematic bundle to get a nice thematic bonus (under a proper guidance/rules). I would prefer this bonus to be also something more than geting a friendly status with all barmaids (not that is bad actually :P)...

Blog: Background and Themes a closer look.

If the pirate stuff would be pirate like abilities with the appropiate fluff, then i would be content (from small things like a parrot familiar, +to something for the gps found when looting to rather significant ones like +to attack & damage when raiding or when fighting on a ship). But if it...

Blog: Background and Themes a closer look.

I think that what i see here is a streamlined path of what we already do. Backgrounds is just named the skill section of the ph. Only this time, except from the list of skills, will have also thematic skill bundles. The feat section will be renamed theme section and also will have character...

Blog: Background and Themes a closer look.

I have some questions which will judge if the theme-background thing is for my liking. The themes and backgrounds are just the collection of feats and skills from the whole list that someone will get? These will be just preassigned for you? If yes, then what is the difference from the...

    April 17, rule of 3

Noone mentioned the possible modules that they have in mind: Hit locations! Lingering wounds! Hexes! Firearms! I loved every concept of these, and is certain that i will use em :D (especially hit locations and ling. wounds)

    DnD Podcast April 13

themes I am hearing about the themes and how it works and i have to say that i am very excited about that. It seems themes would be one of my best feature in dndnext!

    New Staff Blog: Run Away!

I actually used morale rules in all editions of the game. I had forgot that 3e had not implemented these rules.

    Rule of Three: 20/3/12

One of the problems that i had with minions was that damn 1 hit point they had. You could see a lvl 27 titan minion with 1 hit point. That titan could die with one at will power that didn't even target him! Also the +30 to attack that this titan might had also didn't contribute to be a...

    Rule of Three: 20/3/12

I am the only one who didn't like the minions as presented in 4e? I always had found em a bit artificial, a bit gamey. Although i can see the merit as concept, the way that this concept was materialised didn't appeal to me. The new approach - less gamey - seems better imho.

Yes, seems interesting. I was wondering what is the math behind it.

How much culture should be hardcoded into races?

Yes, you are right. I am really looking forward to publish some general guidelnes for the making custom race/class/theme. It is very important at least for me to know "where is enough power in that" and "that set of powers does not make any sense". Imho the issue is not so to make a race more...

How much culture should be hardcoded into races?

defaullt culture but with the tools to make unique cultures Well, interesting question. My races are not exactly as the default ones. However, i think is essential to present a basic default culture for the races for many reasons. The new DM's and players need something to look for and...

    Something Awful leak.

I think a month ago there was two playtest leaks. The one was indeed debunked (i haven't read it), however the other one as i remember it doesn't seem to contradict with the current leak.

    I need a 3.x edition wilderness adventure (1-2lvl)

I need a 3.x edition low level (1-2lvl) wilderness adventure. I don't want to be only hack and slash or only dungeon crawling. I would love an adventure with some negotiation in it or a plot twist. The adventure can be from wotc (dungeon or something else) or from a third party company. Thank...
