D&D 5E (2014) How WotC will approach the campaign settings?

Imho, the reproduction of gaming material isn't as good as the new, "fresh" production. I am not saying no to reproduction but if you want to expand you ll go and create new material. Either a new campaign setting or new products for the old ones.

D&D 5E (2014) How WotC will approach the campaign settings?

So, do you think that the only love for the other settings will be only conversion guides? That would be awful imho and a very conservative policy. No new campaign lore, stories, npcs? It would be disappointing!

D&D 5E (2014) How WotC will approach the campaign settings?

Jeremy Crawford said that the core setting isn’t the Realms. The core setting is the multiverse. This tweet probably explains why we have not seen a Forgotten Realms or another campaign setting. I think they plan to produce something different from what we are used to, but I cannot still...

    The Darkening of Mirkwood

5 out of 5 rating for The Darkening of Mirkwood This is the an ideal campaign setting which lasts for many decades of game time. You play in the turmuiled region of Mirkwood and surrounding areas interacting with many known heroes (Bard, Beorn, etc) and encountering terible monsters (Nazgul)...

Is Chris Perkins Working On A New D&D Setting?

Jeremy Crawford on twitter They said that they have as core the multiverse, so i suspect that they have an inclusive holistic solution for all the settings. I don't know what this solution will be, but this the reason why we don't have yes an indication for a specific setting. An inclusive...

D&D 5E (2014) What options from the DMG are you using?

Pretty many things. Variant resting healing rule. More gritty. My players don't get their hit points back during long rest, only half their HD. For natural healing they have to expend a use of their healing kit. Speed Factor: YEA Chase rules (these rock) Cover hits. I am quite satisfied with...

    D&D 5E (2014) Which non-Realmsian setting for you?

Planescape, Birthright for my inspirations, Mystara for my first fond memories of a setting, Greyhawk because my gf started to DM in this world a couple of years now I discovered its depth and I wish i could vote for Al Qadim (i don't consider it a realms setting)

[UPDATED] Has ADVENTURER'S HANDBOOK Been Cancelled?

Hoard of the Dragon Queen actually isn't the adventure which "will rule them all". However, i agree with you...and i am very sceptical with Wizard's moves

    D&D 5E (2014) Good Introductory 5E Adventure?

I would say Wizards Amulet from Necromancer Games. It is a free sweet 1st lvl adventure. It is a conversion of their successfull adventure from 3rd edition and I would highly recommended. It can be played out of the box with minimum of preparation. It isn't flawless (it was written before MM and...

D&D 5E (2014) OK WotC, I've had just about enough of this...

It was bad bussiness in short term, but kept us occupied for many years after. We supported their rpg products for many years after because of the quality and the quantity of the books. I don't know if it would a diasaster to repeat the same. Probably it will. What i am trying to say is that...

    D&D 5th Edition Dungeon Master's Guide

5 out of 5 rating for D&D 5th Edition Dungeon Master's Guide I delayed in purpose to rate it because i wanted to test various aspects and rules that where inside. Although it is not perfect, it is probably the most easy to read and the infos that have helps you to run the game. You can make...

D&D 5E (2014) OK WotC, I've had just about enough of this...

Actually I would love a like 2nd edition Campaign bloat! :D I know they will never do it. But if there wasn't the 90s era campaign creativity (and maybe overdose) the rpg world would be much poorer. That bloat worked for many of us like an extra rpg fuel for all these years.

    D&D 5E (2014) What's wrong with a human-centric fantasy world?

However, not long ago, Mears said that he would like to have more cultural options for humans in the DMG.

    D&D 5E (2014) What's wrong with a human-centric fantasy world?

Thats the reason in my current campaign I actually don't have other playable races but different human cultures with cultural traits and feats. It works as intented. :)

D&D 5E (2014) Anyone Using the Optional Initiative from the DMG?

In theory i am great fun of speed factor. So, I used it in our last session. As it stands now I am not sold. It adds time and I am not sure i got back the feeling I had during the 2nd edition. I will try it for a couple of session before i drop it. I wish there was an application were...
