    Sneak Attack Rules Question

Yes, sneak attack damage is maximized. The only damage that isn't maximized by a critical hit is extra damage caused by the critical hit itself. Sneak attack is not caused by the critical hit itself, so it is maximized. Ditto Hunter's Quarry and Warlock's Curse, for that matter.

    Melee Ranger At-Wills?

Ah, okay, but the last several posts had been about why Careful Attack was a crappy choice, so when you just posted a power stat-block without any context, I thought you were proposing a general replacement for Careful Attack. As a new at-will for melee rangers, it seems fine.

Making a Samurai: AC and Armor problem

No, but there are quite a few weapon feats (most any heavy/light blade feats, spear feats, and flail feats) and powers that do use Dex. See for example armor-piercing thrust, rain of blows, chains of sorrow, silverstep, fangs of steel, Blade Opportunist, Heavy Blade Opportunity, Spear Push...

    Melee Ranger At-Wills?

    1) Whether you say "your off-hand weapon does not have the off-hand property" or "you have the Two Blade fighting style," it's exactly the same thing mechanically, because only with Two-Blade Fighting Style can you use non-off hand weapons in your off-hand. The latter is just cleaner language...

Large and larger: what does it take to fall?

The entire critter has to be pushed into empty space, as stated on p. 285 of the PHB.

    Melee Ranger At-Wills?

Nice for Two-Blade rangers, but it does kind of hose archery rangers. I'd probably word the Special as simply "if you have the Two Blade Fighting Style class feature," though. The issue isn't that they don't have good choices to pick from, it's that one particular power is mathematically worse...

    Melee Ranger At-Wills?

Fighters come close to having this problem too--depending on the weapon you wield and your Strength bonus, Reaping Strike might end up being a guaranteed better bet than Sure Strike, but as the fighter picks up feat and item bonuses it can swing back and forth. If fighters had more class...

    Melee Ranger At-Wills?

Yeah, he meant Piercing Strike. The problem with that is that it really just adds another layer of math to the Twin Strike vs. Careful Strike debate (is his Ref sufficiently lower than his AC that Careful Attack is more useful?)--and since most monsters' AC is within a couple of points of their...

Determining line of sight vs cover

Assuming you mean PC #1 in the big illustration at the bottom, no. You're confusing cover with line of sight. A line that touches an obstacle blocks line of sight.

    Longsword Finesse bummer

It's still a pretty great feat, as it gives you access to Eladrin Soldier, Heavy Blade Opportunity, and any heavy blade feats in Martial Power. Letting it count as a light blade would be way too good (as seen for example in the balance problems that crop up with the two-bladed sword.

    OA and range

You are correct sir. In addition, a correction to my first post in this thread: the sharpshooter paragon path allows you to make OAs with a ranged weapon, but does not alter the circumstances that provoke OAs, so you still have to be adjacent to the target to make an OA with a ranged weapon.

    OA and range

No, it's minions, assuming the attack is an OA as Evilhalfling says and not an immediate action (I don't have MP handy to check). You can take one immediate action per round. You can take one opportunity action per opponent's turn. If five minions close on you in one round, you get 5 OAs.

    Action points

You can only spend action points on your turn. Pretty sure once you're dead, you no longer have turns. Just sayin'. :)

    Melee Ranger At-Wills?

Well, no, not really. The aggregate differences between the two certainly add up over time, but even on a single die roll, Twin Strike is significantly better. Rolling twice is, statistically, about the equivalent to getting a +4 bonus on an attack roll (there's some more wonky math in there...

    Intelligent Blademaster with Javelin?

Because RPG designers are only human and sometimes word things in a manner that unintentionally creates ambiguity regarding their intent?

Is there actually a disarm power?

One of the example results of a successful Intimidate check is forcing a bloodied opponent to surrender, not quite the same thing as a disarm maneuver in combat.

    Curse/Sneak Attack Damage Question

No he doesn't. Pact Initiate doesn't give you any form of the Warlock's Curse class feature, it gives you a pact at-will as an encounter power and the ability to pursue paragon paths based on that pact, plus implement use. You are correct, however, that a multiclass character who is able to...

    OA and range

There's a ranger paragon path in Martial Power that lets you make ranged OAs.

    Melee Ranger At-Wills?

Or you house-rule careful strike into something that doesn't suck. I'm a big fan of the "+1 to all Defenses until the start of your next turn" option myself. :)

Is there actually a disarm power?

Fighters have one around level 17 or so. Not sure if MP has more--and of course there's always DMG p. 42.
