There is one in the DMG (my DM uses it all the time in our game); however, it is not located in one place. It is mixed throughout the book in different areas. I hope the 2024 DMG improves on this. FYI, my DM made a cheat sheet where he put all of the useful improv info in the DMG on one page.

Sorry, you are the first person I heard talk about this. Though they have down that in other adventures too. Regardless that has not been the general item of discussion on this thread (not that you need to stick to the flow of thread).

What are you talking about? No one is suggesting they are using stat blocks for different monsters.

D&D General The Double-Edged Sword: Is The New D&D Edition a Cash Grab in Disguise?

However, you don't have to use them if you don't want too. Chris even stated in a recent interview that you can continue using any or all of your 2014 PHB classes with a 2024 game. The revisions are that minor. Heck in the playest we ran playtest PCs in the same games with PHB versions of the...

D&D General The Double-Edged Sword: Is The New D&D Edition a Cash Grab in Disguise?

Really? How much did you actually use the playtest materials? Like @Clint_L we have been using playtest classes (even the older more radical ones) and rules alongside 2014 PHB classes and monsters (and frankly our entire game) and they work great. The changes, IME, are greatly overblown. So much...

regarding the title (sorry not clicking over to your blog): no, it is not simply a cash grab. I can go into detail if you want.

who is suggesting you are a mutant? As far as I have seen you are the only one using such language. Does really surprise you that different people have different opinions and perspectives. I mean just look at the political landscape in the world today. Be can't even agree on facts! Why are you...

That is certainly all possible for them to do. But it does not bother me that it is not provided. I rarely expect people to give things away. It is nice if they do, but I don't expect it. The $1.99 single monster purchase is definitely not the most efficient, but it is cool that they even offer...

Yes, I forgot 5e typically included anything not in the monster manual. Thank you for the reminder.

As others have noted, that has never been the case traditionally. You usually have to purchase the MM for monsters that are in the MM. Only monsters unique to the adventure are included. That has been standard in 5e and I think 3e and 4e, but i am not 100% sure.

actually, I agree with @MonsterEnvy , the 5e standard is to refer to the Monster Manual unless the monster is new for this book.

I don't think this is correct. My partner owns all the core rulebooks (and more) on beyond, but they still shop on their marketplace:
