D&D General So what about the SRDs?

I don’t know if your trolling, but if not, it is clear you don’t know what your talking about. Someone could make a dubious legal claim, sure. The difference is all the biggest software companies (and more) would band together to smack you down. That is not the same situation that the OGL is in.

Jeremy Crawford Also Leaving D&D Team Later This Month

My point was you can play 2024 with 2014 they are all 5e

If 5e is the child friendly edition, I don’t believe that personally, then it has been a huge success - the biggest ever for D&D it seems

Probably Lore changes, art changes that kind of thing.

And what is WotC narrative. I don’t know if Crawford has been interviewed yet, but Perkins straight up said he is retiring from DND. It was his choice, but he wanted to do it. Is there any good reason for him to sell another narrative?

Number of subscribers is public, at least it used to be. Last time I checked, he didn’t have that many. That being said, I believe Mike has a job working for another company doesn’t he? I know he’s doing his five step on the side, but I believe he has a job.

Except that is not what is going on here. Both of these guys predated fifth edition. By all accounts, I left on their own terms.

Actually no, you can still play the game and have a great time. Heck you can still play it with 2014 too!
  9. Uni-the-Unicorn!

D&D General So what about the SRDs?

Yes, I don’t know what I was thinking when I posted that!
  10. Uni-the-Unicorn!

D&D General So what about the SRDs?

Actually, you can create those things (many have for 5e), you just can’t copy them verbatium from the 3.5 books or SRD

D&D 5E (2014) Why is no one talking about THE BOOK OF MANY THINGS?

Interesting, I think Planescape is a great product. First time I became interested in the setting! But to the OP (@THEMNGMNT), I passed on the Book, what is there that would make me want to get it?

    D&D 5E (2024) Lycanthropes in the MM

The funny thing is, for us it works perfectly with our house rules (only critical hits a “real” strikes). Though we do use natural 20 as a critical hit.

That is not true. Silvered weapons are move effective, you have to look in the PHB, not the MM IIRC. Now the effectiveness is greatly reduced, but they are still more effective. Edit: it is in the DMG
  16. Uni-the-Unicorn!

D&D 5E (2024) Okay MM 2024 is fully released, when is the 5.5e SRD going to be released?

They have already called the new SRD 5.2 (the previous one was 5.1 btw)

    D&D 5E (2024) D&D Marilith Is Far More Bestial In 2025

I think you have done a good job of explaining why the change was not based on ideas of inclusivity. Thank you for that!

    D&D 5E (2024) D&D Marilith Is Far More Bestial In 2025

Ok, I’ve seen scribe doing that, but that is not technically gaslighting is it? Edit: I’ve seen more posts now and kinda is see what your saying, but a lot of people are not explaining themselves, they are just say no that is not what I mean. So it does seem disingenuous
