Most are part of some organization that provides training (assassin, shadowdancer), some are more regional/cultural classes (dwarven defender, duelist)...

    I usually just role play any interactions and use what I consider common sence. If the player calls for a roll, we don't have time to roll play, or I am undecided how the NPC might act, I'll then resort to rolls. Still, friendly doesn't means slave or anything too out of the ordinary.

    I found that this makes the upper levels way too hard to reach. I do like an exponetial XP scale and I like getting though the lower level fairly quickly and slowing in the mid levels. I opted for 1000 xp to reach 2nd and then 1.6 times the requirement each level as the best solution.
