Gotta say I found HoFD very dull. When the fight scenes are boring me in a martial arts movie, something is very wrong.

Don't forget the extra damage for the larger weapon -- a d10 weapon becomes 2d8 when it grows to large, which is an extra +3.5 damage on average (about a 30% gain, before counting in the +1 or +2 extra from STR increase)

My group (5 players) kicked the ever-lovin' heck out of poor Nightscale. Apart from the surprise round I think they did more damage than she did in every round of the combat. Of course, they did have shotguns and grenades ... :) Against a normal D&D group, you wouldn't need to do much more...
