It seems to me that while they communicated a lot at the beginning, they were over-communicating and over-promising. They have been talking about these features since almost the beginning and haven't been good at delivering (i.e the general feature system and encounters which is still in beta)...

My theory is they need to get the general feature system working. They are going to need that or it will be a real pain to support OneD&D.

My view is that lore should be inspirational but not tied down. You should be able to place it anywhere you need when it seems useful.

I think providing adventures are a really important traditional RPGs. They show you what the gameplay is meant to look like. This relies heavily on GM authority though. I had the traveller book which included two adventures. That was much better.
