Can you explain the issue with capstone features? I assume you mean the class' level 20 one.

I had a look at some other cases where it could be ambiguous whether it referred to character or class level. Elf traits refer to 'character level' but the cantrips I looked at just referred to 'level'.

It entirely depends on whether you like a particular set of characters more or less. Reading in publication order is how I read them because I didn't have a choice. Apart from some occassional references to previous events, they can be read in any order.

Apparently the boxes have arrived at my FLGS. They haven't had a chance to unbox them yet.

I don't have any recommendations then. It has been so long since I've read Good Omens that I could not say what be like Good Omens, but not like Guards! Guards! Most of his work is closer to Guards! Guards!

In the first two he is finding his stride. In Equal Rites he does proper full length plots. Guards! Guards! is where he really hits the mark. Maybe try that one next.

From my conversations with my FLGS, the FLGS started taking pre-orders and then, at a latter date, were told they were not getting all they ordered. So, it was more a matter of the sequence of events and the information available.
