DDAL D&D Adventurers League Update for the 2024 Core Rules a DnDBeyond blog.

I think the grace period is a bit short. Half the 60 days has been eaten up in Australasia by shipping delays. They are going softly on the enforcement (more of a nag), but a bit unrealistic.

What are you reading in 2024?

Wind in the Willows is a love letter to the middle class. Toad is obviously a rich good for nothing. The weasels are working class thugs while Badger is the salt of the earth type. The rest are largely good honest middle class.

What are you reading in 2024?

Continued reading reading through my old Stephen Donaldson books and finished Reave the Just. It's a collection of his short stories, which has the advantage over the Thomas Convent books in being much shorter and to the point. As with any short story collection, some were better than others...

What are you reading in 2024?

I read the book a few years ago and wasn't that impressed. My memory of it is a bit vague (not a good sign for the book) so I can't say for certain what about it made me feel meh. As a GenXer who never did this book in school, I picked it up to see what this classic was like. I must admit that...

What are you reading in 2024?

I read the first two books and they were quite enjoyable. Never seen the movie. It sounds very different.

For AL, try Volos Wake. It might still be free.

Dungeons & Dragons 2024 Player's Handbook Is Already Getting Errata

From the conversations I had with the LFGS, there is a volume issue on the alt covers. I don't know if there is also a shipping issue or if that means a subsequent printing.

What are you reading in 2024?

Just finished Charles & Ada: The Computer's Most Passionate Partnership by James Essinger. I learnt in the late eighties that Ada was the 'first programer' at uni. I had always been fascinated, but never dug deeper. The story of Babbage and Lovelace is pretty amazing. The biographer was over...

I am probably an outlier since I don't watch streaming, tv or go to the movies.

Do you mean in UK? In Australia the d&d novels are still in the local library, which is more than zero and higher than the cartoon characters.

Which markets was it released in? It wasn't released in Australia as far as I can tell.

    D&D 5E (2024) How D&D Beyond Will Handle Access To 2014 Rules

This is my solution. For context, I wanted to use the improved bard in Tasha's without bringing the extra book (I cycle to gaming) and I didn't want to buy the whole book from dndbeyond again for a page of rules.

    D&D 5E (2024) How D&D Beyond Will Handle Access To 2014 Rules

Has anyone figured out if the 2014 spells will appear in the spell listings? We know Compendium - yes, Tool tips - no, but what about the spell listings?

    D&D 5E (2024) How D&D Beyond Will Handle Access To 2014 Rules

Absolutely. Where the functionality already existed to mix and match, they kept it. Where they needed to do a bit more work, they haven't. Probably focusing on the shiney features and 'must have' support for 2024.

To me, this reeks of cutting scope as the deadline hit. They have an approach for races and monsters, but haven't extended it to spells, etc.

It is also the point where it becomes easier to use the physical book.
