    WotC Miniatures Storage?

I used to have them on a display shelf, but with each release taking up most of a new shelf, quickly ran out of space. Then they went into large storage boxes in individual sealable plastic sandwich bags, until that became even more overwhelming when I was trying to find a particular mini. Now...

    What's your campaign theme?

I've always enjoyed adding themes to my games, although as others have said, sometimes the players never notice. The theme of my current campaign is "what is evil?"

how to convince people that D&D is not evil

A very good point. I've used a similar argument myself to good effect. Admittedly, D&D draws upon real-world elements of "magic" as defined throughout the ages, and if D&D truly emulates real "magic," wouldn't you see an effect? As I stated before, I still have yet to summon my first quasit...

That's a keeper there. Thanks Henry. P.S. Shouldn't you update your sig? (Unless you haven't gotten your copy yet...) ;)

how to convince people that D&D is not evil

Ah, ok. That makes a bit more sense. So, more like modern-day Wiccans or the like. That's a shame - I'd love to see a Fireball spell. :)

how to convince people that D&D is not evil

I thought that was the reason Gygax published OD&D... ;) Seriously, did they think they could cast D&D spells?

    Gaming Food

We also do themes. For my Conan games, we typically do "barbarian" food - thick stew with bread for utensils, or roasted turkey legs for example. For my annual Halloween game, I do "harvest" foods, and so on.

What language is the Common of our world?

Until you watch a foreign DVD, and hear the characters who are speaking Mandarin, or Japanese, or German, suddenly say English words and phrases as they speak. Watch any Toho Gojira/Godzilla movie to hear words like "time warp," "teleportation," or my favorite - "Let's go!" I can't recall any...

how to convince people that D&D is not evil

You know, I've been playing this game for 26 years, have all the books, read all the spells, and I still cannot even summon a quasit, let alone Orcus or Demogorgon. I must be doing something wrong. :p ;) P.S. If that couple has one of the Orbs of Dragonkind or the Invulnerable Coat...

how to convince people that D&D is not evil

Same way you try to convince anyone about anything - explain why you feel the way you do, back it up with facts, and let them argue their side. It's no different from trying to explain your conservative religious beliefs. How do you explain those? To wit: In my mind the Koran/Bible/Tao Te...

How Do You Explain D&D To Non-Gamers?

D&D is a role-playing game. Role-playeing games are games where everyone gets to be the hero that saves the day. Imagine yourself as Superman, or Aragorn from the Lord of the Rings, or John McClaine from Die Hard. If you were that person in a movie, what would *you* do in those circumstances...

    Do you fudge?

Story continuity. If a series of bad rolls makes for a potential TPK or the like (and assuming the party didn't just blindly walk into their doom), I'll fudge the rolls to give the heroes the chance they deserve. If a minor encounter turns into a major event because of bad rolls, I'm not above...
