The problem with the BBEG being a Good Avenging Paladin who's gone TOO far in his quest for destroying evil that he must be put down is... All of his abilities are only REALLY effective against evil characters. So unless a group of evil "good guys" are the ones going to stop him...hes not going...

Are we sure that Paladins dont have to be Lawful in this edition? The entire intro to them, Oaths, and their whole vibe from this teaser says Lawful Good. Looking for facts, not to rehash the whole Paladin discussion from earlier.

Not really, The Wizard is in basic and so are both Elves and Dwarves, although I agree that the "BEST" spellcaster race is largely dependent on every other variable like party composition, playstyles, enemies beings faces, etc... So in conclusion for every situation you may be able to come up...

Not all opponents are intelligent, and not all opponents have the abilities to attack a caster in the back. No one said they never get attack, only that is MUCH less frequently than say the frontline melee, also a ranged Archer can be just as deadly as the Wizard.

Nothing named Arcane Archer, but maybe WotC intended a Eldritch Knight with a bow to be the spiritual successor. Just thinking out loud really.

Im curious if the Arcane Archer is suppose to be just an Eldritch Knight who focuses on Bows, or if its something completely unique to it.

Really want to see what that Eldritch Knight is all about, very curious about the Paladin Oaths too.

I think a feat is going to allow it, along with other bonuses.

I think its nice that a "Spell Casting" Cleric is able to contribute like it can, while not leaving the "Battle Cleric" behind. Even a good hybrid would be nice, cast this and next turn run in and hammer to the face with advantage.

On a serious note this kind of angers me, WTF!!! There is no Arcane Archer feat, and only the Eldritch Knight Subclass for the Fighter Class, which I guess COULD use a bow but still....AARRGGGEEEE /Ragequit
